The first banner I made for today, I did not use. This is a photo that may have come from a private Facebook account. Since I cannot verify the source, I could not use it for today’s banner. This is the second time I used this photo in a banner, and the second time that I realized it was from a questionable source and did not use it. Today, however, I decided to post the link because the photo is in many places online -- and I really like this banner! Q3

Unconfirmed info
Adam will be in a MTV Special Promo
6.24.11 by Q3
This is unconfirmed information but it does fit the tweets we got yesterday and I am fairly confident it is true.
A source has told me that yesterday (6.23.11) Adam filmed a MTV special that will be part of his new album promotion. There were multiple looks including some “amazing” Skingraft leather items designed for Adam. This is the same project that Kristee Liu tweeted about. My source confirms that this will be broadcast in a few months and said the premiere date is not yet set.
You may recall that Kristee Liu was also the makeup artist for Adam’s VH1 “Behind the Music” episode that will premiere on 8.10.11.

Adam Lambert Joined Local Onstage Sunday June 19
San Diego Reader By Jay Allen Sanford | Posted June 22, 2011, 3:08 p.m.
“I had American Idol's Adam Lambert show up to my dinky little weekly Sunday night gig at the Turf Supper Club this last weekend,” local singer/songwriter J.D. Boucharde tells the Reader. “He got up and did a song with me, and brought the friggin' house down.”
“I don't watch television, and I sure as hell don't watch American Idol. Don't get me on my soapbox about America's obsession with turning every worthy thing, and even a good many non-worthy things, into a competition, fer God's sakes. But I sat there and talked to him for a half hour or so. Cool kid. I've known his dad and his dad's wife for a few years. They live in South Park: really, really good people, and I sat and talked with the three of them in the corner of the restaurant.”
Boucharde says Lambert went all but unnoticed. “Not one person that I saw before he got up to sing even recognized him. I asked him if he wanted to get up and sing ‘Mad World,’ which, apparently, he sang on the show when he was competing. I only know because, after he did, I started getting all sorts of requests then to cover that song, which I'd been covering for years.”
After getting an “Okay” from Lambert, “I got back to the piano and I introduced him. I look out, and everybody's looking around like they're in a dream. Adam Lambert's here? HERE? And the place went crazy!”
“I guess I sort of assumed that, at least in the public's eye, which can no longer hold its beloved gaze on anything longer than a few minutes, he had sort of come and gone. And, since I don't watch TV, how the hell would I know, anyway? But he's still this household word. People simply love the guy.”
Once the impromptu performance wrapped up, “I was getting texts and e-mails from friends the next day: why the hell didn't you CALL me?”

From MainePF
@jam2885 The guy from the San Diego bar posted more details on AO. SO SWEET. t.co/wvb7YXj
"Adam was warm, friendly, open, and presented such a loving presence about him. No ego, just an all-around great guy. When I asked him if he wanted to sing, I sorta figured he'd probably say no: like singing at a little podunk bar was not as cool as what he was used to. And I totally would've understood. But he responded: "Sure!"
And I wasn't exaggerating about folks' reactions. They were stunned. I said his name, and the place got quiet, like they thought I was putting them on. He walked up, and men and women alike were standing there with their mouths hanging open, like they still couldn't believe what they were seeing. I started playing "Mad World," and, taking the mic, he said: "Slow it down a little bit." I did. "A little more." And he friggin' NAILED it: every high note right on the money. Finished, and the place erupted like it was U2 at the Coliseum."
Cease and Desist, Glam Nation: Adam Levine Apologizes for His Adam Lambert Snub
Wetpaint.com 6.23.11 by David Connell
Looks like everything is hunky-dory between American Idol’sAdam Lambert and The Voice judge Adam Levine. Levine is eating his words after an unintentional snub directed toward Lambert left the Maroon 5 singer the subject of a huge Twitter backlash.
When a contestant sang “Whataya Want From Me” on The Voice, Levine said he wasn’t familiar with the song, but the contestant had probably performed it better than the original artist ever did. That original artist is none other than Adam Lambert, of course. Glambert fans did not take too kindly to this comment and proceeded to eviscerate Levine via Twitter, despite the fact that The Glamz laughed it off.
Realizing he’d brought the fire of the Glam Nation upon himself, Adam Levine apologized to Lambert (and his fans) via E! News, saying , “I kind of inadvertently talked s**t about Adam Lambert, which I didn’t mean to do … It was no personal, slanderous attempt on Mr. Lambert. I hope he doesn’t think that. People got really mad about it … But the one thing you should know, Adam Lambert, is that you’ve got a lot of fans out there, and they really support you. And God bless ‘em, because they just raked me over the coals on Twitter. They were pissed off, and I like it. I like that dedication.”
We’re glad the two made nice and didn’t take the beef too seriously, but, uh, we’re pretty sure Levine will start memorizing Lambert’s entire musical catalogue A.S.A.P.

Do they only have one black leather wall in LA?!?!?!
Some fans noticed that the wall behind one of the promo photos for David Cook’s new album looked familiar. And, of course, it looks a lot like the background that Adam and Lee Cherry used for the IIHY cover. Well the wall may be the same, but that is where the similarity ends.
In the meantime, ninjas are hard at work trying to locate THE black wall.

Voting Opportunities
Tampa 93.3 Jingle Ball Poll
6.24.11 by Q3
You can vote for Adam to be at next year's Jingle Ball in Tampa:
www.933flz.com/pages/jingle-ball-2011-lineup.html
Don't waste a lot of time on this. Last year Adam blew away almost everyone in this poll and FLZ wanted to book Adam for Jingle Bell but could not get him. So winning this really means very little about who they book; it is just a way to generate clicks and remind people of Jingle Ball.
Adam benefit: 4 Even if they do not get Adam for this event, it will remind 93.3 FLZ FM how popular Adam is.
Fairness: 3 - there is an attempt to limit voting but it is very easy to work around.
Potential to win:8 -- Adam did really well in the same poll last year and is likely to win this year.
Fan value: 5
RECOMMENDATION Vote a bit now and then but just for fun.
I have changed my recommendation on VH1 Do Something Awards to DO NOT VOTE
5.27.11 by Q3
On 5.25.11 I recommended voting in this competition. Since then I have done some additional research and testing.
1. Voting for the celebrity online awards is just a way to build awareness for the real awards show.
2, Adam is not nominated for any award. The only way to vote for Adam is as a write-in. It takes much longer to cast a write-in vs. voting for a nominee. There is no limit on voting. So 10 minutes of Adam fan voting time can be wiped out in about 1 minute by someone voting for a nominee.
Poll rating (0=lowest rating, 10=highest rating)
Adam benefit: 3 a win could raise awareness of The Trevor Project.
Fairness: 3 - there is an attempt to limit voting for just one category but it is very easy to work around.
Potential to win: 9 ¨C The voting structure makes a write-in vote very timeconsuming.
Fan value: 2
RECOMMENDATION ¨C vote only if you are willing to work really hard.
About the awards: DoSomething.org and VH1 have partnered to present The Do Something Awards to honor young people's commitment to social change. VH1 is doing a series of online contests to promote this event ¨C they have nominees but also accept write-ins. One of the celebrity categories could help Adam but, more importantly make a difference.
The category: Charity Song
The write-in: @adamlambert for "Aftermath Remix" and mention the Trevor Project.
You need to sign in on Twitter or Facebook to vote.
