Guess that is the difference between the musically knowledgeable and the ignorant tonedeaf layperson, ie ME. The Aftermath version posted above put me on edge, almost chalk on a blackboard. To my untrained ear, possibly defective ear, those "amazing" high notes sounds like screeching/screaming to me. Strained. Glad you all pointed out it is incredible. I can appreciate technical ability, even if I can't recognize it. The acoustic Trespassing sounded more pleasing to my ear. He went deep at one point (gah). Where did these come from and why are they being posted now, I wonder. Actually, I understand what you are saying. Your ears are not defective. While the notes are not actually screaming, they have very high frequencies on the basic note. It makes for a brittle, and to some, an almost bone jarring sound. You may experience the same sensation with a very high whistle or alarm tone, or even with the security systems in stores that emit a very high frequency tone that only some people can hear. The fact that Adam CAN hit that note in full voice is extraordinary. Jaw dropping. But, it is not something I would want to hear regularly. I prefer the richness of the many harmonic overtones in his low and mid registers.

HOW DID HE DO THIS???? everything after 3:30 is like an exhibition of his incredible, mind blowing high register.... what was it at 4:26? and he had some grit there also, very unusual for him... I am sitting here totally stunned, literally.... 4:25 is a B5 too To put it in perspective that's one note away from soprano high C I thought I needed to get my ears checked. Because I heard the B5 at the end. But I couldn't believe it was a B5. Now that I know it really is a Fuckin B5 8D

So much of the first album pushed him into rock wails like this aftermath and TFM. I like the Trespassing one and I like the first part of Aftermath.

TINHAT!....rusted. chunkeymonkey81Usually when raw tracks see the light of day people see how bad a singer the star really is. This is the exact opposite rofl Erica eri9“@iamsu4u: #adamlambert singing raw tracks is better than most singers who have been manipulated and produced in the studio, wow!” So true!!

Yeah male voices rarely ever go that high in full voice cause it's impossible, so when people do it just kind of sounds ridiculous and alien, cause of that it's not really worth the absurd skill it takes to pull it off. Adam just sounded like he was playing around and having fun improvising
