It's not really fair to make any comparisons. Adam has a voice like a siren, his range is extraordinary. PP is a nice sounding country singer. Everyone knows how popular Country music is in USA. His voice is neither polaraiazing or challenging, it is a very safe voice. Music Consumers like safe. He has also has safe sounding songs. It's a very image concious music industry, let alone world, just the way it is. Of course any Adam Lambert fan partic select few are going to make comparisons to Adam, but the whole music world does not revolve around Adam Lambert beleive it or not ha. I wasn't comparing him to Adam at all. I don't know if anyone was. I was commenting that it was not good! BTW, he is not a Country singer. All his songs are Pop with a lean towards Adult Contemporary. Well some were inferring Adam could do better. With comments like I can imagine Adam singing this. So some people were. He may not have country in his albums, but the guitar and his style he may was well be Country.

Since it was discussed the other night, I assume it is OK to post this. I just do not get him! Is there a smiley holding its hands over its ears?! Oh! This one works! Well, that was dull as an old knife. I like PP's own laid back music, but this is NOT how the NA should be done. Geez. That was not good. I mean - it really wasn't good.

Unless someone deleted their post, no one made an Adam comparison. Probably because, as you stated, there is no way to fairly compare them. It is just a pretty crappy rendition of the SSB. But I have read some comments elsewhere that people liked it. Viva la difference!

PP got nice write up in our paper, he's in town tomorrow? maybe. I don't youtube him so I don't know much about what he's like live other than when he was on Idol but I like most of the radio singles. I don't think it was very good for PP but doubt many peeps care, it wasn't a train wreck either. And yes, I yearn for our guy to do it too just because I want to hear him on this song more than what we've gotten before.

So that Roger interview is the first real leap into a discussion of possibly recording something with Adam, isn't it? I honestly never thought it would happen and it still may not, but since it was mentioned at all, I'm guessing it has been discussed between the three of them.

Brian has said something that indicated it was possible in an interview a few months ago -- but his comment was more vague. I think this will happen but not until after A3 is done and out and promotion has started. **** ETA: I can guarantee that no one will have any problem with how the National Anthem is sung for Game 4 -- because that will be Carlos and Salvador Santana doing an instrumental version.

Yep I agree about A3. It just seemed like the most definitive thing we've heard yet.

Funny, the only two Cavs games here in LA at Staples are back to back and are when I'll be in the UK. Oddly, I am a Miami Heat fan from when I lived in Florida (yes, the team LeBron James played for for a while ) but I live in Akron, LeBron's home town and it is pretty much LeBron everywhere here. Huge welcome home banners downtown, and at the high school he attended. So I am pretty much surrounded by Cavs mania!
