I understand how you feel but I try to tell myself that true legends are not made as 'overnight sensations' to be forgotten but are here to stay and will be the measure others will be held up to that follow. That's what I feel Adam will be...an icon taking his rightful place with the likes of Freddie, Elvis, and MJ. I'll wait...it will happen! ETA: And Sam Smith is safe/non-threatening. But Adam makes you THINK and PUSHES BOUNDARIES and that is a threat/danger to some people and makes them feel uncomfortable. Adam will remain true to himself and will become iconic. JMHO of course. </img>

Oh, I'll bet he has foundation on. Just not stage makeup type. Without any foundation, there would be more freckles showing! FRECKLES the amount of visible freckles is the litmus test for makeup with Adam ... Most easily seen when there are NO lip freckles - covered But all over his face you could usually see them - less than some years ago, but still some ... also I think he still uses something to even out the texture for official events ... in private pics the skin is rougher (Sutan talked about some silicone cream product ages ago that made me notice this effect) AND: Are the gauges smaller or am I imagining that ??? Is that even possible - technically/biologically ??? Gauge (hole) size is the same as always, the flanges on the earrings vary and sometimes that gives the appearance of a larger hole.

Adam can't be on the AMAs if he does not have a new single to promote. And if he and his team wanted him on the AMAs, I am certain he would be there. Is there anyone one the planet who could perform on the AMAs and be more buzzworthy than Adam? Just think about it. >>> I have no idea what he and his team have planned for promo BUT if I was doing his promo plan, I would NOT have him on the AMAs. That would do him absolutely no good from a media or personal branding standpoint. I would be looking for another high-profile opportunity for him.I think Sam Smith's success will just help Adam when he finally releases his new music. And Adam will get all the attention when he and his team are ready. [Adam actually has more Google Searches and More News Mentions than Sam for the past 12 months -- a lot more. PLL, Glee and Queen brought his a lot of attention -- then add in Idol guest appearances, and, of course, he wore a hat or two.] Sam Smith is one of the top selling artists of 2014 -- in albums I believe he is #5 so far this year. "Stay With Me" is a great song and was a major hit, his follow-up single is strong -- my only hope is that Adam has just one song as good as SWM.

The Scariest and Sexiest Costumes of Halloweenie 2013 www.advocate.com/arts-entertainment/people/2014/10/20/photos-scariest-and-sexiest-costumes-halloweenie-2013#.VEl0alVCeEI.twitter … via @theadvocatemag
Halloweenie, an annual fundraiser for the Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles, attracts big names like Adam Lambert, Lance Bass, Amy Paffrath, Marissa Jaret Winokur, Rose McGowan, Neil Patrick Harris, and Drew Barrymore for this costume-required soiree. They don some of the scariest, sexiest, and most stimulating ensembles — all for a great cause, as proceeds benefit GMCLA's antibullying program for schools, its youth chorus, and the It Gets Better Tour, which takes a message of acceptance around the nation.
Saturday at 9 p.m., join in the festivities and enjoy DJs, dancing, and eye candy at the appropriately eerie and elegant Los Angeles Theatre, a historic movie palace whose interior was modeled after the Hall of Mirrors of Versailles. Buy tickets here. And feast your eyes on some of the most creative costumes from last year's event.

Apart from Adam inferring he is going to keep things to his chest this time around, hence the secrecy. But I don't think the lack of information has anything to do with piracy. I get as fans we want instant gratification, as he has not had any new music out in a while now. But if we remain a little bit selfless, and see the big picture and think about last time. He talked about it all the time, their was so much feedback from fans. That when it was released, the promo cycle and rollout was not up to scratch, and Trespassing clearly did not live up to its potential clearly. So as much as I am anxious for his new music, I also understand its all about the big picture, and its all about timing. And theirs a process that needs to be undertaken. Yes it is frustrating when you see artists similar to Adam or even dissimilar to Adam, who get recognition. Be it Award Show's, Chart Success e.t.c. But Adam ain't some easily digestible Top 40 artist, he is complex. It's like the rest of the music industry is fine, soft sugar. And Adam is castor Sugar, if that made any sense at all haha. Like some said the public like safe, when it comes to Top 40 partic, they don't like to think, consumers want something immediate and now. Partic in this time of stress with the industry, since the MP3 age, the industry is loosing money. So Top 40 artists who can sell huge in a week are a priority. Hence why Carley Rae Jepsen, did very well with that Call me Maybe song a few years ago, that suddenlly no one cares about lol. It takes alot of patience, but I think ever since the Ama's. Although parts of the industry felt Adam showed alot of arrogance for a newbie. On the other side of the coin, your damn right he showed alot of arrogance. He showed on that night, he wasen't going to be the safe, gay kid from Idol who sits on a stool and belts out ballads, like some in the industry wanted him to be. He broke out of the idol bubble that night, and became Adam Lambert. So the past 5 years have been an interesting journey. In the short run he has struggled for Airplay, and Chart Success (Other then that WWFM song). But in the long run, it gave him an international fanbase. He got exposure and recogniton from legends like Brian May and Queen. Sometimes we put too much emphasis on award shows, and air play, and chart numbers e.t.c. We as fans lose sight of the purpose, and the big picture. Adam is a big picture artist, he is not going to sell records in millions like he is some kinda male Taylor Swift, yet . I remember Rob Wells was it? Of RCA. Said he always felt like a multi platnum, selling arena artist. It's how you bottle that into an album. Currently no one has figured out to bottle this incredible talent and potential into an album, but I have a feeling A3 is Third times the charm. Well said. As I was reading the AMA announcement, I was actually thinking of Carley Rae Jepsen as well. (Great minds . . .). There are soooo many one- or two-hit wonders. Adam just keeps trucking along sort of on a different level of fame than the biggest recording artists (and I you that term loosely) and not in Hitsville, but he's still there and more people seem to take notice. I have still been listening some to Adult Contemporary radio since TP. I generally find the music fine to listen to a few times but then very boring and simplistic. Adam is not simple--you are absolutely right.
