Something I wonder about when there is a break of two, nearly three years, between album releases is - do the first songs recorded go out of fashion and become obsolete. If an album is going to capture the zeitgeist, doesn't it have to be chosen and recorded pretty close to it's release date to be as 'relevant' as possible. Also - the artist's taste in music will probably evolve over that time period and be influenced by very current trends. So do you think Adam has been working on songs for the album for two and a half years or is it all done in a rush in the last few months? I suspect that the songs recorded over a year ago have been mostly abandoned. As before, his focus changed part way thru with changing labels, working with Queen, and working with Max Martin. Just my guess. Do you think his approach changed slightly to have perhaps more of a rock edge on a few of the tracks?

My guess is based more on the assumption that a) Adam has been creating songs for several years, according to him, and recording for almost as long b) If a) then he should have had more than enough for a full album a year ago and there would be no reason to delay the album until 2015, even with the change of record label.

Just my guess. He told us that on Trespassing, Take Back was the first song ever written for the album. It appears that Runnin' was also an earlier creation. In the end, as the album's direction changed, they were relegated to Bonus Tracks. So yeah, it is possible that some diamonds might get left behind due to being written early in the process and not fitting the overall tone in the end. In the case of Runnin', it was the saddest thing for me that happened on that album, even sadder than BTIKM and NCOE becoming singles, or being on it at all. Just thinking that people who did not buy the deluxe edition would not hear Runnin' makes me upset...

I hope that if he does have some gems like that this time, we'll again get them at least as bonus tracks.

On yesterday's thread, I posted something on JessLove, a Wounded Warrior with the military, since it was VETERANS DAY. Jess is very thankful for the support. She texted me today that she was contacted by an organization (ReverbNation) to perform in LA in January 2015. Hoping this will catch someone's attention and the break she is looking for.
Another promoter contacted her with the possibility of singing the Philippine National Anthem the next time Manny Pacquiao, a very well known Filipino boxer, has a fight in the US. This is BIG as it has a worldwide audience of millions. In the last couple of fights, Jessica Sanchez, Idol runner up to Philip Phillips sang.
Plugging Jess again and her iTunes songs under her moniker JessLove. These are songs she wrote and sang herself.
Hugs, mayumi
