ITA and there were reviews of the Detroit (Auburn Hills Palace) concert in the local press. Yes there was praise from some members of the press, not nearly what was deserved.. I don't mind Ted writing this article at all,I think it's great. Why condemn ourselves ,when we are being praised.. Coming to the defense of critics, just not my job.. Thank you Ted for recognizing the strength ,devotion and smarts of the Glamberts.. You are correct. It is wonderful to see the show, the man, and his followers praised. I wish I could ignore HOW it was done, tho. These days it seems that one does not need to know how to write grammatically correct, well constructed, articulate articles in order to post on the web - even from legitimate media sources often. This article was poorly written which detracted from its message, for me. I do not expect excellent writing in blogs, forums and the like. There I value everyone's contribution, regardless of their prowess in composition. But, is it silly for me to expect good writing from official media? Or at least proofreading to catch misspelling, dropped or repeated words, and incorrect grammar? Forgive me for being a life long teacher. It still catches up with me once and a while.

IMHO the lowering of educational standards everywhere.. Texting doesn't help... LOL

Does he actually think "street teams" are responsible for selling out arenas?! Why does he focus on a few negative reviews and not the glowing reviews? How is that a good thing? SMH!! I was informed by the Glamberts that the Australian tour was sold out thanks in part by a dedicated team of fans who marketed to the masses using social media. Another Glambert told me that she took to the streets with flyers to get the word out about the upcoming tour with some friends.

He's mainly speaking from his own references ,what he saw, what he read... BTW at first I was pretty upset with the press also.. Remember talking about did the critics actually show up. IMHO,the Glamberts had a lot to do with the positive change in some of the press. I myself wrote so many comments, that I began to feel like i should do this for a living..LOl Look if love for Adam and his great talent is thrown out to the public by his fans, what's wrong with someone noticing it and praising the fans for that devotion.Factual errors, overblown ,Yes I don't like that ,I don't like it when the NYTs can't get facts straight or create their own facts.. The standards have fallen for sure all over the place.. we can agree to disagree about this blog and It's author. I tend to embrace praise of Adam and his fans even if the Grammar and some facts are not up to par.Street teams.. well I do remember going to the record departments and moving Adam's Cds to the front for all to see.,also share Youtubes of Adam& Queen with facebook ,blogs, etc. So I think I could be part of a street team ;)contact me..I will do flyers.

Sorry, but getting facts wrong is inexcusable, in my book.
Reviews are subjective and that person's opinion. They can like it or hate it based on what they feel. We agree or disagree, based on our own opinion. Was the NY Times reviewer an ass? IMO, absolutely! But that article was his opinion.
But this guy is stating his opinions as facts and getting facts completely wrong AND ignoring facts! Why is he ignoring all the rave reviews? He makes it sound like the press hated the show and that just is not true! Plus, IMO, that is bad for QAL to imply they got bad reviews across the board but Glamberts fixed it! You know why he is ignoring it? Because if he said there were 85 glowing reviews & only 5 negative, press conferences, interviews, an announcement on the #1 morning shows in the US and Australia, a kickoff in iHeart radio concert studio, there'd be no way for him to write that article!
Not cool and he is totally playing the Glamberts for hits, IMO!

I guess I'll have to make another comment on his comment section..Off to try..
