YW. queenofthenight. The shorter one had been on my feed for 2 minutes, Gelly had posted it, but the longer one wasn't there yet.
The profile of "the hair" makes me chuckle. Just flip floppin around. Love the tight jeans and rocker boots. Guess he chose the red shirt because it's a Xmas show. lol

WOW! queenofthenight! both are great finds, but this one is the first with the full ending - and it is FABULOUS! THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH! Adam Lambert's voice is so shocking. When she sings first, your like wow shes got a great voice. Adam starts and its like she is suddenly a mice in comparison haha. And I like when Adam duets with great vocalists. As it brings the best out of Adam. Opposed to holding back to make a lesser vocalist look good. My DH watched this with me and said "Adam sounds like he is singing higher than she is." LOL.

His voice is so powerful. The emotions he evokes when he sings.....O.M.G. Helene is pretty and she has a beautiful(safe) voice. Adam attacks with conviction and purpose and makes you feel and hear the lyrics. Great Duet. Can't wait to hear to the ending and see the final product.

In looking at these different artists videos being posted I'm struck by the fact that none seem to be current artists; they are all from the 60s or 70s.
Much of that music is timeless. Sure, it's from my life back in the day, but these were times when passions ran high and musicians were songwriters, storytellers and activists, many. Songs that have stood the test of many years. Kind of like Queen. Great lyrical quality, musically complex, activism for causes. The Vietnam war, the 'new age', 'free love'..it was a liberating time and it was intense and birthed the best lyricists I have experienced. Not saying there aren't many other greats, but the level of intensity of the time brought people together and tore them apart. My family almost disowned me as I was against the war in Vietnam and my brother was a Marine. I wasn't against the troops, but an unjust war, yes. There was no middle road then. Even in my small university there was a concert and a protest in front of the ROTC building on campus one beautiful afternoon. Things began to escalate and I saw then how Kent State had happened. Then you have Woodstock and sit-ins and love-ins. Music was a pretty true reflection of the desire for peace, the pandemonium and the passion of the time. It is striking much of the music originates from that era, Glitter. Totally agree with you. I don't feel I've seen an era quite like it since. Something went flat after that..like a soda that has been sitting around for too long.

Well they sounded amazing but I thought they were in full on musical theatre mode. By the end I felt like asking if they wanted eggs with their ham lol! First time I've felt that with QAL so I'd have preferred it solo. Just IMO YMMV etc
Slinks out quietly.......

Beleive it or not its not all about Adam being front and centre. I guess thats the way the show wanted to deliver WWTLF. A Bit musical theater, but thats what Adam is. I did feel at the end it was a bit over the top the way they stared each other haha but anyway.

They did sound good.

Many of you probably know that my other obsession is U2. Hard to pick something to post out of a career that started back in 1976 and hasn't let up since. I'm posting the Superbowl halftime performance from 2002 because in many ways it sums up the importance of U2 to the heart. They have been traveling the world preaching LOVE for decades now and when Adam came along I finally saw an artist who could be the successor to their battle to soften up the hardest hearts. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zqtkik7nTik
