Oh hey! Just checked the ticket sale in Germany and I couldn't get a ticket for either Frankfurt or Stuttgard anymore. Seems to be a sell out!
(And Hamburg is not available online anymore, so can't check that one. If I remember correctly they still had a few seats yesterday, but not many at all).

So what I did (after a while) is shrug, and listened to that great streamer yesterday, who sang his longs out and clearly had the time of his life. I think about the show in which Adam sang to me. About that beautiful beautiful improvisation before IWIA. About the love and fun that they have on stage. The people singing BoRap on their way to the tube. And that is what this show is about. How beautiful. How wonderful for you. ETA: Just listened to TSMGO posted above. The combination of the beauty of the lyrics ... my soul is painted like the wings of butterflies, the crafting of the whole song, the pathos of Brian's wailing guitar, the context of the song with Freddie dying - it is one of my all-time favourite Queen songs. I have never tired of it and it is the one song I wish I had heard live at my concert. I like Adam's interpretation now, much better than the EMAs and Hammersmith. It has more light and shade in the vocal. I could hear the adrenaline in Adam's voice at the EMAs and to me he over sang it and it was a one-dimensional power delivery - I was actually worried he was going to burst his vocal chords at various points . Hammersmith, was overly dramatic for my taste. The way he sings it now is intense, bombastic, with more of an emotional arc to my ear. I find it stunning. This is the only song where lyric flubs irritate me - when he's going through too many doors lol. It is an incredibly difficult song to deliver emotionally in terms of the balance and vocally. (I think in our poll, the EMA version is leading the vote - oh well)

Actually I think this review is all about FLD. Because she starts with the premise that Queen without a head is Queen no more. She is not looking at what is good in this incarnation, but rather reminiscing about what is no more. And this together with the bias that you are not supposed to like this, which is still present in some places (and yes, the Netherlands is one of those places too). I have been angry as well about some of the pieces that were written. BUT this time the comment sections saved the day for me. At each and every one there were people saying 'I was there, and it was brilliant', 'were you even at the same show?', 'have you listened to that man's voice?'. And those were not Glamberts, but sometimes Queenies and sometimes people who just like music. So what I did (after a while) is shrug, and listened to that great streamer yesterday, who sang his longs out and clearly had the time of his life. I think about the show in which Adam sang to me. I am a very positive person and normally I just shrug and laugh off these bad or even nasty reviews, because I know what QAL is about. Brian told us in an interview at the MSG that he doesn't mind people not liking this collaboration. He said: Fine - just stay at home (or something like that). But sadly the reviewers don't stay at home if they don't like it This one review just hit a button. If you don't like his singing - fine, if you don't like his dressing - fine, if you don't like his hair - fine (yeaaah - as if ;-) ), BUT: how can you say that Adam is dumb? Or that he is listless???? I think you have to be a malicious mind to make that up! I swear, If he were just a little tiny bit more perfect he'd have his own religion and I would be one of his biggest worshippers, happily dancing around him with flowers in my hair... so this comes close to blasphemy ETA: Okay, now I officially declare this rant OVER!

Those types of negative reviews are so biased as to be irrelevant. The rolling stone review on this page said it well, they are characterised by being: under the pressure of mass delusion about replacing Mercury
Best response to the #FLD of the tour
Yeah - great response Yet this review wasn't exactly about FLD. What really bothers me about that review is that they make Adam appear to be a silly and stupid person, where you would turn deadly bored away in any conversation with him, because he's got nothing to say . And the ultimate insult is that the writer said, that he is the maximum listless performer...and that he sang "I want to break free" because he was so eager to get off stage. The reviewer gets so personal... but I should concentrate on all the wonderful and rave reviews they got... but it'll take some time, til I calm down.
If she was really in the building or was in the concert, she saw the audience reaction. Maybe she didn't like that the audience love QAL performance. I said this because there's a Queen/Freddie fan who saw them in the 80s. She went to QAL in Amsterdam to see Bri and Rog and seeing the audience responds in the building she felt betrayed and alone and decided that most of the audience were AL fans LOL. So she left before the encore. Maybe this one writer didn't expect the audience would love the concert and Adam so much, so she turned around and attacked Adam.
Ohh well hopefully the reader saw that QAL was on that NYE German TV show, so they remembered that Adam is not the "maximum listless performer". Ohh and I would love for this person to meet and talk to Adam captured by live camera, she'll have to eat her crow and tv audience will be the judge.

Do you have the link for this recorded streamer? I wasn't here and so missed the guy for the big part of the concert.

It has been my experience in life that the criticisms that truly hurt me are the ones that contain a grain of truth. So when someone calls me crabby old hermit lady it might sting because it contains truth. Conversely, if someone were to call me a disorganized and sloppy housekeeper I would laugh and move on because I know it is not true.
So these odd agenda driven reviews do not harsh my buzz in the least because I see them for the folly that they are. To even discuss them, much less give them web hits, serves no point in my world. They are just that irrelevant.
