something I've always wondered about. How many people does it take to trend a comment? If a few of us started could we make it go viral? I appreciate the sentiments but these sorts of efforts end up being completely defeating in the end, don't you think? Trends and Virals mean nothing when purposefully sponsored and promoted. Very few people take any note of them any more because they have been rendered meaningless by this very sort of effort. Most are now sponsored and commercialized. I can see some value in the effort if there is a particular PR value..say when TOH drops..but at this point it is just meteoric rubble that will dissipate as quickly as it appears. Beware of the Cry Wolf syndrome.. Think of it...even Facebook has now become mostly full of sponsored ads, meaningless platitudes and video's of pets and weird animal pairings. Only specially targeted topical sites remain even remotely free from all that stuff...and I doubt it is possible to return to the original concept anymore. YMMV I don't REALLY KNOW! I thought almost all trending topics had a base start. I can see those that start out with people exclaiming over how Kanye has recently insulted someone not being calculated but so many seem to me to be of the deliberate variety that I have always just taken it for granted that it was a means of PR. It seems to me, ymmv, that it is noted as part of a persons celebrity status. I have seen Shosh note the fact that Adam trended over something he did. Any marketing I did was before Social Media so how it really impacts a brand, I just don't know. Do like to see Adam trend however it happens! By the way have you been looking at my Facebook? My only consolation is that one of my friends is an animal trainer at San Diego Zoo and her animals pics are so good. But then there is the cousin who has a platitude of the day that makes you want to hurl. (with the subliminal message if you don't like it you a bad bad person)

Krakow's STL was off the charts! Do we know the significance of the stuffed fox sitting on Brian's speakers behind him? Good luck charm, perhaps?? I'm thinking it has to do with his animal advocacy. Anyone know for sure?
