I have to wonder if the "official" release date for a song isn't the day it gets serviced to radio and not the day it goes up for sale on iTunes?
Used to be labels would release a song on radio and wait weeks to make it available for download (called suppress downloads) in order to build up demand for sales and rocket it to the top of the Hot 100 chart (back when the Hot 100 was purely based on sales). They don't do that anymore because now songs chart on Hot100 based on airplay AND sales (which is how a song can debut fairly low on the chart the first week of release and then take a massive jump the next week when it's first week sales are factored in). Official release date of a song is the date it goes on sale. "Radio impact" date is the day the label wants it going for adds, usually about 2 weeks after the sale date. OFC, radio can add a song as soon as it is available, which usually happens with the big name artists. The optimal day, until the summer change to Fridays, for a single to be released is a Monday. That gives it 7 full days of sales for its official sale numbers. So 12:01 a.m. Monday morning, March 30th, right after Adam performs it at the iheart awards, is perfect!! Let me dream, people!!
It's a wonderful dream. I'm with you

Thanks! Is it televised or streamed......I had forgotten Adam presented. (You're not by any chance going to be in the audience...are you? lol) It is televised on NBC. No, I will not be there. Funny you say that! I got an email from 1iota the other day about the show.

crazy, you aren't "downloading" the songs from Spotify to your PC, you are just making them available to play offline (if you have a premium subscription). The only way that I know of to get a song onto your pc is buy ripping the CD to your library, buying it through a retailer like iTunes or downloading it from a torrent or sharing site (which is stealing IMO).
Spotify allows you to mark 3000+ songs to be available offline for 30 days. Here is how Spotify explains it
here is a link to Spotify Questions/Guides support.spotify.com/us/learn-more/faq/#!/article/How-long-can-I-cache-offline-content
it's a great resource on how to use Spotify.
Well, if I am offline, and I am able to play it, then that means in my mind that a local copy was made by the Software and put onto my PC, otherwise there is nothing there to play. Spotify itself calls it 'download' as well as 'cache'. Both terms indicate a local copy has been created. I presume the formatting is such that the content can only be played via Spotify, so it has nothing in common with some knock-off copy that somebody may upload from wherever get their loot from. This Spotify download is completely legal and subscription paid, I was not talking about anything not allowed and I understand the 30 day limitation before re-validation is required. I'm not planning on doing that though, first of all, I am usually online anyways, and secondly, I want the plays to count as streaming. But the Spotify download plays will count as streaming from my interpretation. Here is part of what glitter posted, the bolded part specifically says that when you connect to Spotify again the number of times you've played that song will be COUNTED.

Adam's was the only guest star with a video in the group. Since I never watched Glee before...only when Adam was on it...can someone tell me if other guests stars who appeared on the show did their own video like Adam did?

So is this Ryan's top 20 or something from Glee? Either way it is pretty astounding that Adam was the only guest star video among the top 20 and it was a total solo rather than a duet with a cast member. Very cool
