I see TheVersionUK as either not very smart or habitually snarky. They started off on the wrong foot pretending to know stuff they didn't, advertising a poll as news, and caused fans to check with Shosh with every tweet they put out. When they don't write "our" Adam Lambert Day fans cross check again because they've proven to not be trust worthy and again proven they aren't. And then they go after Adam's management which reminds everyone of Out Magazine. So they need to decide their strategy. If snark is their happy place and they only want glambert clicks on Adam mentions so be it, they'll get them. If they want to develop additional audience for the rest of their site then they will take notice of what those that you've mentioned have done and phrase things so that their meaning isn't hidden. Until they sound aboveboard fans will be suspicious of them. While I agree their responses somewhat childish, they are being singled out at a high level for abusive kickback. Their embellishments for clicks are not really any different than many of the 'pick up' internet news publications that are constantly quoted here. Misleading headlines with copy-and-paste text from other nonreferenced sources are the order of the day in internet journalism. They, the Glambert Media Squad and SStone all got off on the wrong foot, but there really is no indication that they mean any harm. Why bully them to the point that they begin to fight back in a negative manner. That accomplishes nothing. If everyone would just use some common sense, it is not difficult to see which sites are being fed news directly and which ones are the pick ups. Edit. And I rest my case. From Press Party: The Version declares April 21 'Adam Lambert Day' Music and entertainment webzine The Version has been teasing details of a special Adam Lambert all day and it has finally delivered with an exciting announcement. www.pressparty.com/pg/newsdesk/londonnewsdesk/view/124397/?isworld=y Except in this case they have strayed from the usual copy/paste to get hits. Claiming they have exclusive info and indicating that they have heard 'Ghost Town', while Shosh says neither are true, is beyond what most other click-bait sites are doing. There is also some passive aggressive behaviour going on IMO.

This is going to be a YMMV thing. ;-) Copying and tweeting someone else's tweet without credit is not substantially different than a bogus headline in my opinion. Both are dishonest and designed to get your attention and entice you to interact with them. They all do it to some degree or another. I will say that setting April 21st as the date is odd. I can see that that might not go over well with the PRfolks as it might be seen as an attempt to detract or capitalize from the release hoopla. But a good PR person can turn a site like this into an asset if they want to.

OT but news from Idol is only the Top 5 will tour this summer. twitter.com/THR/status/585899333956018176Hollywood Reporter @thr 17m17 minutes ago 'American Idol': Only Top 5 to Tour This Summer thr.cm/l4cPkG
The 2015 edition of the summer trek will only feature the top 5 finalists, as opposed to the 10 who have hit the road over the last 13 years. The American Idol season 14 tour has been halved. Billboard has confirmed that the 2015 edition of the summer trek will only feature the top 5 finalists, as opposed to the 10 who have hit the road over the last 13 years. Tickets go on sale April 17. The news follows rumors on set. Jeffrey Seavey, father of eliminated contestant Daniel Seavey, tweeted on March 21 that there was "lots of confusion" about the annual summer trek. "Normally, it’s Top 10, but rumor on set is that it will be only be top 5 on tour," he wrote. "We’ll see..." As for the rest of the Top 10, a source tells Billboard discussions are ongoing for finalists No. 6 through 10 to be allowed to open the concert in their hometowns. That's assuming the routing matches up. So far, cities confirmed include Chicago, New York City, San Francisco, Seattle and Nashville. The Top 5 will be revealed on April 22 and host Ryan Seacrest is expected to mention the tour on the show tonight (April 8). Typically, news of the outing coincides with the top 10 reveal. The Idol tour has been suffering from sluggish ticket sales in recent years and has seen its routing downgraded from arenas to smaller venues like theaters. The summer 2014 trek was also the first to hit the road without a live band. Instead, the season 13 cast sang to backing tracks. This article first appeared on Billboard.com.

Mzsue, I hope it works out for him too. I just read an article in Billboard about how he previewed the song live for a small group before the Fallon reveal - the catch was the audience was little kids! The article has a vid of the kids responses (so DEAR and CUTE) and one girl says he looks like Adam Levine - I wonder . . . The vid is touching be ause the kids were too young to let preconceptions color their opinions. Damn it I wish I could link it but I am technologically-impaired. Geezlouise, I did not know the Scott Borchetta and Big Machine connection - cool. So many connections - Scott Borchetta on American Idol now, praising, posing with and tweeting Adam, and Scott Borchetta all connected with the show "Nashville," which I kinda love, that currently has a plot going about a country singer who is struggling to hide his orientation. Okay, I'm just rambling now - oops. Wouldn't it be wonderful if we all had the power to look at the world through children's eyes........ here is the video. That video is fantastic.

LOL This has to be the most random confusing thread in the history of random confusing threads. The only thing that makes sense to me is Betty's cake. Thanks for that. I read globs of tweets that make almost no sense to me. Then the tweets appear over and over. I guess the jist is that nothing is really going on today. Is it just me, or does it bug anyone else that so many tweets are getting so hashtag # heavy that they are almost meaningless. Why to people do that? I'm not a real twitter user (just have an account for Adam stuff). Why can't people say what they want to say and forget all the hashtags? I don't get it.
