Adam Lambert Shares The Cover And A Third Snippet Of “Ghost Town”: Listen
By: Mike Wass / April 16, 2015
The buzz surrounding Adam Lambert’s comeback single “Ghost Town” (due April 21) grows ever louder with the arrival of a third snippet. The 33-year-old first teased a house instrumental and then a largely acoustic vocal. Today (April 16), the fiercest American Idol contestant is back in dance mode. “My heart is a ghost town,” he croons over deep house beats and a spooky hook that sounds straight out of the X Files.
Produced by Max Martin, the track already sounds like a hit — I have that one line stuck in my head — and repositions Adam as a boundary-pushing electronic artist. The “Whataya Want From Me” hitmaker also shared the black-and-white single cover and he looks suitably dreamy. The heartthrob’s trademark quiff is bigger than ever, and there’s even a little chest hair. This is basically porn for Glamberts! Check out the artwork and snippet below.

Adam Lambert: 'I had to stop and ask myself why I'm doing this'
The singer discussed re-examining his career in a new interview
Adam Lambert has spoken of having to "re-examine" his career prior to recording his latest album.
Lambert first rose to fame as a contestant on American Idol in 2009, finishing runner-up before becoming the touring lead singer of Queen from 2012.
He's also released two solo albums, but has now spoken of questioning his own career following the release of his second LP Trespassing in 2012. In a new interview with Notion magazine, Lambert said, "The music industry is so crazy, competitive and focused, and after the 'Trespassing' album I kind of had to stop and ask myself, 'Why am I doing this? What do I want? Who am I? What am I about?' And just re-examine everything."
He continued, "I finally became more grounded about all of the fame stuff; it's not freaking me out any more. There were certain ways in which I triumphed and certain ways in which I stumbled a little bit. Unfortunately, people were watching while I was learning."
The singer also spoke of his decision to come out as gay early on his career: "I came out five years ago in a scene where I didn't have a lot of people to look to or a blueprint for advice. I was flying blind. At that time, I was reading things that were being written about me and it was affecting me both negatively and positively. It was really intense to get dropped into that whole world really quickly."
Lambert's third album, The Original High, is due for release at some point in 2015. He and Queen are also among the rumours to headline Glastonbury 2015.

Adam Lambert on fame, his new album and what he’s learned over the years
April 16th, 2015 by Martin Lamont
If you’re a fan of Adam Lambert, you’ll already know that the next few months are a pretty exciting time to be part of the fanbase known as Glamberts.
And that’s because Adam is set to release his new single ‘Ghost Town’ in just a few days, and following that, he’ll release his latest album ‘The Original High’, but no exact date for its release has yet been confirmed.
However, during an interview about his previous album, Adam told Notion magazine that following its release, he felt like he had to take some time out to figure what’s next.
The hitmaker explained: “The music industry is so crazy, competitive and focused, and after the ‘Trespassing’ album I kind of had to stop and ask myself ‘why am I doing this? What do I want? Who am I? What am I about?’ and just re-examine at everything.”
He continued: “I finally became more grounded about all of the fame stuff; it’s not freaking me out anymore.”

Teasing his forthcoming album ‘The Original High’ once again, the singer-songwriter revealed that with this release, he wanted to go “darker”.
He added: “I’ve done the more bubblegum stuff, I’ve done the camp stuff, and now I want to encourage people to face their sh**.”
Lambert went on to say that he wanted to show that there’s a real person behind the fame, adding that he isn’t “all polished or still part of the ‘pageant thing on TV.”
The ‘Ghost Town’ star also spoke about how he used his vocals on this new offering, stating that he’s learned that “less is more” when it comes to his powerhouse vocals.
Adam also opened up about some of the other things he’s learned while being part of the music industry, which as we all know by now is very competitive…
Stating that he’s known “triumph”, he added that he’s also “stumbled” at times, and of course, that was made all the harder because “people were watching while I was learning.”
And finally, while opening up about his style and why it’s changed, Adam said: “Someone said to me ‘oh you’re not wearing all that crazy s**t, are you trying to tone it down?’ and I was like ‘no, I just got tired. F**k! It was a lot of work!’”

'I'm done with all that crazy s***' Adam Lambert is rocking a tough new look and attitude
QUEEN frontman Adam Lambert puts away the guy-liner and glitter as he reveals big changes and releases new single, Ghost Town, and album, The Original High.
By Stefan Kyriazis / Published 16th April 2015
Adam Lambert must be one of the few men alive who could potentially upstage Lady Gaga.
He's as well known for his flamboyant costumes and outrageous stage persona as he is for his multi-octave range and No.1 albums.
But that is all changing.
A striking new photoshoot and interview with Notion magazine reveals that Lambert is ready to move on from all the theatrics.
"Someone said to me, 'Oh you're not wearing all that crazy s***, are you trying to tone it down?'” he reveals.
“And I was like, 'No, I just got tired.’ F***! It was a lot of work!”
After taking his career to a whole new level as the frontman for Queen over the past few years – including a dazzling display on the BBC’s New Year’s Eve celebrations – it seems that Lambert has found a form of inner peace.
“The music industry is so crazy, competitive and focused,” he says.
“I kind of had to stop and ask myself, 'Why am I doing this? What do I want? Who am I? What am I about?' and just re-examine at everything.
“I finally became more grounded about all of the fame stuff; it's not freaking me out anymore.”

What to do now to support Adam's new single
Things to do this week
1. Remember to have fun and get ready to enjoy the music!
2. If you do not stream music already, pick a streaming service you like and set up an account. Spotify is a good choice. You need to use an email address and/or Facebook account. I have an email/Facebook account I use for many Adam-related activities. It keeps this stuff isolated from any information about me and my life.
>> The following services are counted for BOTH the Billboard Singles and Album Chart: Amazon Prime Audio On-Demand, Beats Music Audio On-Demand, Google Play Audio On-Demand, Medianet Audio On-Demand, Medianet Audio Tethered, Rdio Audio On-Demand Plays (including non-DMCA radio), Rdio Audio Tethered Plays, Rhapsody Audio On-Demand Plays, Rhapsody Audio Tethered Plays, Slacker Audio On-Demand Plays, Spotify Audio On-Demand Plays (including non-DMCA radio), Xbox Music Audio On-Demand Plays (including non-DMCA radio) and Xbox Music Audio Tethered Plays.
>> The following services are ONLY tracked by Nielsen for the SINGLES chart: Amazon Prime Audio Radio Streaming, AOL Radio (powered by Slacker) Audio Radio Streaming, Milk (part of Slacker) Audio Radio Streaming, Rhapsody Audio Radio Streaming, Slacker Audio Radio Streaming, Vevo on YouTube Video On-Demand Plays, YouTube Video On-Demand Plays, VidZone Video On-Demand Plays and VidZone Video Video Streaming (non-demand).
>> Caution: Amazon Prime only offers limited new releases and there is not sign that "Ghost Town" will be available on Amazon Prime. If you are a Prime customer, check out the free Spotify service. It is easy to use and really is free.
Spotify On-Demand is a great choice -- counts for all the Billboard Charts: You need to download Spotify and install it, but I think it is worth the effort. This is my fav streaming site and it has the most influential playlists for pop music. Set up your account and follow artists with a lot of current hits (Mark Ronson would be a good choice) and follow Adam if you like him .
Tip: Streaming Adam’s music now will not help his new song chart when it is released.
3. Use social media. Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, forums, etc. to post about Adam’s new music, post positive comments on articles about him, share news about Adam. Be talkative!!
4. If you don't already know it, find your local Mainstream Top 40 station and HAC radio Station. Go to their website and decide how you can connect with them. (If you don’t know your station, search on Google: <city name> “Top 40 Radio” or "Hot Adult Contemporary radio".)
You might want to:
• Download their app to your phone.
• Join their e-mail mailing list.
• Like the station on Facebook.
• Follow them on Twitter.
• Follow their important DJs on Twitter – usually this is the Morning Drive-Time Show and the Evening Drive-Time Show.
• Be nice!!! I believe in karma. Adam fans have a reputation for being passionate but very nice. Let’s keep that rep alive and well
Do this so you know when they have contests that involve Adam and for song battle info. When you learn about something cool, pass it on!
Unless Adam or his management ask fans to request his song, do not make any requests.
