Adam looks beautiful on the album cover. I love it. My first thought was that he looks strong, smoldering but fragile, delicate. The description upthread that he looks vulnerable is the word I was searching for. I like the use of light and shadow. The photo looks almost palpable, like you could reach out and touch him. The look in his eyes is so compelling and communicates so much. Reminds me of the expression in the eyes of someone after---or at the start of---a good cry. But juxtaposed in a setting of strong, stark colors and lines and textures.
I've been looking forward to the single for its own sake, but also because its release is the signal for the floodgates to open. And I'm even more excited for everything that comes after! Now we have an album cover, and maybe we'll get an album release date on articles and interviews about "Ghost Town." Adam will be able to talk about other songs on the album, collaborations, his process, inspiration, behind-the-scenes stuff. Maybe he'll be more interactive online since he doesn't have to hold back as many secrets. And we'll see the music video! And more photos. And live performances.
But it's the audio/video/TV interviews that I'm craving as much as the music. I've really missed hearing him say words, and just being himself and relaying his thoughts on camera. I got such a kick out of the recent Instagram with Adam speaking in a British accent (Adam and a British accent, swoon, plus I'm fascinated by off-the-cuff things like that) and the cute video of him dancing on Ellen (which was similar but different from his onstage dancing when he's performing) because it felt like getting a glimpse of his real personality or a peek at his everyday life and what he might be like on his downtime, among friends. I was a fan during AI, but what hooked me for the long haul were his interviews right after the show and during the summer tour. I'm so excited for more people and new fans to experience him in that way, too.
That acoustic remix of "Cuckoo" is great! Love Adam's voice on it. We're so close to new music. EEEEEEE!!!!

"Funk stylings of the don't-believe-me-just-watch variety, hints of Erasure, Lambert did all the background vocals" Yes, yes, yes! The Billboard article is stoking my fire.
But the Billboard statement about the single being slated to go to radio on April 21 was a bit of a bummer 'cause that earlier tweet from Q102 about us hearing the single "maybe even tomorrow" had increased my hopes that we'd be able to listen to"Ghost Town" in some way, like on the radio, before midnight. And there was that guy with the radio show in Seattle who said they'd be playing the song on his show on the 20th, and I think his show airs from 2 - 7 pm PT. If true, seems doubtful that his show would be the first to play "Ghost Town," so I had (have) my fingers crossed that we might hear it even earlier in the day. I'll still be on high alert all tomorrow!

The Seattle DJ could play it at Midnight eastern which would be 9:00PM Seattle time, but obviously not Philadelphia. We have the covers, we have a lot of the lyrics, we have 3 short teasers. They have to have something planned for tomorrow. Some kind of preview. Just guessing.

Beautiful sentiments Misha, I feel the exact same way I love to hear Adam talk just as much as I love to hear him sing In his interviews, he always comes across as warm, considerate, witty and intelligent. 24 hours to go, I just cannot wait! It's the first time that I have wished for the weekend to go by faster Also thank you so much to everyone who has contributed pictures, news, and streaming/buying instructions, I really really appreciate them. I do not post that much but I always have to come here many many times a day to get my Adam fix

Love the album cover photo. What an evolution from FYE. Black and white photography seems to be the theme and I couldn't be happier given it what I love most.
