I've been reading some of the comments beneath the video on Adam's YouTube channel and there's a really interesting dialogue about Ghost Town and Death Valley, which Sterling Fox says was part of the inspiration for the song. It's too long for a screenshot so I'll cut and paste.

Oh wow.. This song is amazing. It reminds me of when I was driving through Death Valley back to Vegas.

The name Death Valley I learned for the first time from the book 'Winnetou' by Karl May. It's a very ancient reference. Btw some say that Sitting Bull was from Lost Tribes of Israel.... which is interesting to say the least. One Indian chief once said white man and red man are actually brothers but we will see this when the God finally makes it apparent.... So back to Death Valley obviously that name is also found in the Bible and is connected with friends being DIS-affected (word play). Dis is the god of the Underworld but linked in words like Disaster it suggests that a big catastrophe happened on this planet long ago and this situation badly messed our perceptions of good and bad. The explanation being that humans used Star Signs to guide them as they were taught by the Angels of old; however the disaster tilted the Earth Axis which then showed a confused "story" in the heavens. Wise Serpent became evil Satan etc. But he is the good father. Basically Hollywood inherits this wrong story and propagates it around the globe. We need to come into contact with those who still have the old knowledge to heal from this mess.

Didn't expect such a long reply lol. It's cool though! I drove past an actual ghost town called Rhyolite there. This song brought me back instantly to that moment.

Tell me more about your drive if you can. I am actually a landscaping researcher and deal with psychogeography etc.

I don't know much about the back story of the town. It had a casino, school, some houses made of beer bottles (yep, weird) and part of an old train. It was in the middle of nowhere. Heard it was a pretty big town too, 10.000 citizens if I remember correctly. For some reason people started to move out and left it to decay. Most of the buildings are just barely standing. Windows and roofs removed or just broken down entirely. You can camp there as well, saw some people with mobile homes chilling in the sun. It was pretty there but it had a scary feel to it too, like it was haunted! The drive itself was really chill. Almost no other traffic and just miles and miles of mountains and sand. Like the desert was never ending. The road was fun to drive, sometimes you went over a big hill and drove almost straight down! They warn you for it though, with signs that say "dip". Very pretty, felt like I was back in the western days! Beautiful is a better word haha! It was a hot day so I didn't want to spend too much time outside. I'll go back some day though
hope this helped a little!

+Adina Ispas great story. some of the lyrics to this song actually materialized while driving through Death Valley outside of Vegas so your intuitions are spot on
