I'm liking the Voice a lot, but I have to admit that the judges are far more interesting than the contestants so far. But I definitely will be watching!

I was more impressed with the contestants last week, but I agree that it's a good thing to have performers with experience. There are so many talented ones out there who never got a break. In an interview (no clue which one) Adam said (paraphrasing) "there are MANY out there just like me!"
I do think the judges' banter among themselves seems contrived.
Also - I wonder why Frenchie was the only one on her team that Christina didn't walk up to and hug.

The only thing about this 2pt is a bit of team "cannon fodder" loading.. there were a few that got picked that I didn't feel were all that great.. but just may make the 1st round of sing off battles easier for the coaches to cut someone..
I do wonder about some of the coach banter.. it does seem a bit contrived.. like what they say when they don't pick someone and then say.. "i'm glad so and so did, I think they will do well for you" WTF.. LOL
ETa.. wonder what happened to that guy from Rockstar.. Lukas (something) ? Did anyone see him audition.. though they didn't seem to show everyone.

Really surprising that Lukas Rossi didn't make the cut. He seems to be more talented than some of the others from the 2nd show. I mean he WON Rockstar!

That is interesting about Rossi.. I thought the rumor was that he had made it.. just like Frenchi Davis.. hmmmm.. fishy.. well, seems to me.. that after winning Rockstar if he didn't stick and keep it going maybe he just doesn't have it or something must be up
and.. if that was the case, uh. that must have been a blow

So far I've liked The Voice. I'm with Mika--nice to see good singers right off the bat and not have to watch bad auditions and humiliation. I don't want to watch/listen to people who could be in a local talent show. Most of these singers have been out there and need a break like Adam didn.
For me, most of the voices chosen for the show are better than what AI has. I'm also enjoying the judges and Carson Daly. Hope it continues.

just saw Raquel Castro on the Today show..mentions the Battle rounds that will start airing tonight.. and sang a little bit.
She was the little girl in the movie Jersey Boys apparently
interesting that they are already able to promote themselves this early..so different from idol.
ETA.. I still love Frenchie.. I was rather sad when she was cut from Idol in S2.. I hope she does well with this new show..
