There is no need to worry -- and worrying will not do any good. Adam's album is #5 on iTunes, #4 on Amazon CDs, the #1 new release on BestBuy.com. It's selling. It's doing well. Adam, Nate and James Taylor all had strong presales. > On iTunes Presale: Adam had the highest peak on iTunes of the three artists during pre-sale -- TOH was up to #3 in the US. Nate peaked at #26 during his presale, and had the shortest presale of the three. James Taylor peaked at #13 on presale but had the longest presale. > Hillary Duff had no iTunes presale. > Adam and Nate had significant pre-sale efforts on their fan sites. Adam and Nate both have high profile promo events this week -- Adam on GMA, Nate on The Today Show. Both artists will get a sales boost from that performance. The majority of album sales will be on CD -- not digital -- for all three of these artists. There will be a real battle for the order of the albums this week -- but for a change we can do more than buy CDs. Streaming and track sales count. STREAMING IS GOING TO MATTER THIS WEEK. If 1,500 fans each stream the album once, that is one album sale. I am convinced that Adam has the advantage in fan passion. So even if you can only stream the album a few times, it will add up. And every stream will help!! What would be best. Stream GT or full album. Stream GT! Streaming the album will only contribute to album stream numbers. Streaming GT will contribute to both album charts AND single charts!

TOH is going to be high on the Billboard 200 this week -- and that is certain. > Maximum potential chart impact is to stream GT because it looks like it could enter the HOT 100 singles chart FINALLY!! And this week's streaming will help it chart. GT has been holding around #63 on iTunes for over 24 hours, and with the promo next week could spike a bit. So it has a shot of entering the chart. Streaming is TOH great, streaming GT is best, whatever else stream!

I don't think Adam or WB are necessarily focused on having GT or TOH top out at #1 on the actual day of it's release. Considering the pre-sale situation (which IMO skews things somewhat)it seems that next week when all things are counted will give us a far better sense of how Adam's newest work is being accepted.
I am so excited for him. This album feels so right for him right now. I honestly feel it won't be ignored and we'll get a tour out of it. Time will only tell what kind of tour will unfold but all is good in my music world right now.

With GT at #62 on iTunes, I'm wondering, should it have been higher after Jimmy Fallon? Or is the +40 increase pretty good already? And, Hillary Duff's album on iTunes no.1 still makes me think that she might be a threat for Billboard 200 album charts, but I hope not!

Went back to Walmart this morning and they had 5 of TOH explicit version - not deluxe - no clean versions. Went to the regular section and under "L" they had one more of the same version. There were 5 James Taylor CD's and no Hillary or Nate
