We also got a geoblocked message from Adam in The Netherlands: It didn't help that much yet since the album is dropping in iTunes. But GhostTown is still holding strong in top 5 on iTunes overall.

Good morning! As luck would have it, this entire week has been so swamped with work and other real life commitments I have had practically no time to bert. I can't keep up with Adams schedule. Haven't watched anything yet, haven't really listened to any interviews. All I’ve really done is scroll my twitter feed and seen everyone else berting their heads off. Even my husband has thwarted my streaming attempts by shutting off my computer that I've carefully left looping ghosttown on spotify. But what I have been able to do is completely immerse myself in the album. (I'm in a car at least 2 hours an day and that's where I do most of my music listening). It's so spectacularly wonderful I can't contain myself. I’m just bursting with things to say, which is why this is so long! It's funny, because I loved Trespassing, but this album is on a whole other level. This leaves Trespassing in the dust!! It's so polished, so musically sophisticated. Every song is a perfect jewel. My favourites change every day. Well, almost. "The Original High" will always be my favourite. It's his signature song to me. It matters. And it's perfect. This has got to be the next single. It’s HIM. Also completely obsessed with Shame and The Light right now. Sooooo hooky. It goes without saying that all the other early released tracks are top favourites as well. Love, love, love all three bonus track. Another huge favourite is the Things I Didn't Say. Oh, and my husband, the EDM and U2 fanatic, is really impressed with the music on TOH. I'm not crazy about Rumours. It doesn't have much of a musical hook to me. But there's nothing wrong with it, it just doesn't grab me. I think it’s because all the other Tove Lo songs I heard have a bit of an attitude, in a good way. And she doesn’t seem to have that same kind of in-your-face attitude on this song, and I think that’s missing for me. But I still like it, I just don’t love it While I appreciate There I Said It, and it's beautiful, it's not a song I enjoy listening to. So I think it's a wonderful song, but I do skip it because it's too sad for me. This isn’t a surprise. I never enjoyed its counterparts Soaked or Underneath on previous albums, so this one is all on me; it’s not the song’s fault. Which brings me to Lucy. Oh Lucy. I am so sorry. I think this is a terrible song. This is an archetype of a generic 80s rock song. And the 80s did it better. Neither Brian's guitar nor Adam's voice can save it for me. The only good thing I can say about it is I liked the Bowie reference. But the rest of the lyrics? I could have written this song. I hope neither Adam nor Brian lurk here!!! But one terrible song doesn't detract from the amazing calibre of this album. I don't care what its first week sales will be (although in my head I have always been expecting about 35K so it was interesting to see how closely that matched the HDD projection!) I am just so happy that Adam must feel so proud and so vindicated about his work on this. It's such a masterpiece. Like, I am seriously hoping for a grammy nod somehow. Or put it another way – if he gets at least 2 chart topping hits out of this (and we are hopeful, but who knows) then this album will be up for grammy consideration. I don’t think I’m biased in the least here. So, there. I said it! ETA: have fun, those of you going to B&N today!!

Since she first said "this afternoon" and then gave Greenwich Mean Time, I am going to assume the news is out of the UK. The next best thing to a shirtless photo would be getting on Radio 1 playlist but even I am not that delusional, so maybe the "the midweeks" turned into a full week with good news?

anyone knows what Spotify count for GT at the moment ? It has been showing 9.095 million for the past 2 days and stuck. do you guys see the same ? Yes .. must be way over 10,000,000.. Since this is debut week and all of the streaming counts for chart position for the album, I wonder if the stream counts are going to be hidden/frozen this week. It would not surprise me if the count is frozen until Sunday Midnight. I guess we will see.
