Thanks, Lady M, for posting those QAL concert videos. So much talent - so much joy! They reminded me of the Wowow video from Tokyo that had Now I'm Here, Stone Cold Crazy and I Was Born to Love You, so I went looking for it, but both the youtube and vimeo are gone. I have it on my computer, but I'd better do a DVD since I can't get it back. It just makes me hope all the more that QAL will release a Tour DVD. And I hope each song is represented - not just a single concert. Would be fun, too, to have the tour crew's video included. What a great holiday gift - I know I would give one to me...

I'm late to this discussion, as usual. Being a senior, in my day, the legal drinking age was 18 in New York and 21 in New Jersey. Had nothing to do with military service. In 1972, my high school prom night package(for venue in NY( included a cocktail - and I went to an all-female Catholic school. Somewhere between 1972 and 1975 the drinking age was raised to 21 across the US. But it was tied to federal funding for highways, and some problems where people went drinking across the NY border, then drove home to NJ. But the voting age went down from 21 to 18 in response to all those serving in the military.) And I've raised three children are now 33, 32 and 28. They probably imbibed before legal age at college. But 21 versus 18 is only significant if tied to a DUI. They were all responsible. We are about the same age, I too experienced the up and down of legal age during high school. Just clarifying, the federal law that eventually moved everyone to age 21 was passed in 1985. Each state had different ages of majority for alcohol through the 70s and into the mid 80s. Glad your kids were responsible, so many families have not been so fortunate.
