As I remember, some Adam fans also had a problem with Pink when she sang WWFM at one of her concerts. And Adam's response was that Pink wrote the song and was entitled to sing it any time she wanted to (not in those exact words, but something to that effect). I had no problem with Pink singing WWFM in concert. At that time WWFM was already a big hit when she sang it. It hadn't just come out. I had no problem with her singing it in a concert. What bothered me is that she put it on her album of greatest hits. Adam was the one who made it a hit (although I'm sure she would have too) - it just seemed very odd to me to put it on one's greatest hits when you weren't the one who made it a hit.

I am not defending Sterling Fox because I agree that something about what he has done feels opportunistic and weird.
But I also have no interest is wasted a lot of negative energy on him. I figure the best approach is to ignore him unless he bring info about Adam that I want to know.
The odd part of it is that if he had been gracious and waited until after TOH and "Ghost Town" were really successful, I think he could have gotten some Adam fan support for his upcoming solo album. Now he is not likely to get that.

The real test of what Adam thinks of Sterling will come when Sterling Fox releases his album. If Adam tweets about it or not will say everything.

[br Like it or not, she wrote the song. So regardless if she diddnt make it a hit or not. She has rights and credidations to it. So she was entitled to put it on her album imo.

Well, yeah, that is what I am saying, that it bothered me and I have every right to be bothered by it. She might have the right to do it but it felt opportunistic to me. It's not like she needed it. She was already a huge superstar while Adam was just starting out. Ask yourself this. If the tables were turned, would Adam do it? I just don't think he would. I don't think it's in his character.
