Thanks, shimoli.....why are Adam's concert announced with so little notice to get organised? Does anyone know for sure that The London Apollo will be GA?......have just looked at their site and they have a couple of 'similar' (in some ways!) artists who have fully seated. No one could tell me when I called. If there are floor seats then ticket buying becomes more pressured! If standing then no pressure, there will be lots of tix.... Add: and thanks Devilwoman Thank you shimoli for the information

I have my own theory about why Adam did not sing Runnin' live. Yes, there is more emphasis on the very bottom of his range, but, as we have seen from Era #3, he can handle that live. He can also handle the high parts live.
But, listening to the song again (I love it too) it seems to be all electronic backing track. And, as someone else said, it has many vocal layers. During the Trespassing era, Adam was emphasizing live instrumentation and vocals during his performances and eschewing a lot of the backing or click tracks. To adapt Runnin' to a live only performance, the sound would have to be changed substantially to accommodate guitar/keys/bass and Va Jay Jays. I think it would lose some of its compelling sound.
This Era so far, Adam is relying extensively on backing tracks (which I do not care for, BTW, especially when it is doubling his lead vocals. It makes it seem that his voice is too weak to carry the melody alone, live .... which we know it isn't, but, to the uninitiated, that is how it could appear). And he is warming up his voice to hit those very low notes. So, Runnin' could fit with this Era live except that he is focused on TOH songs plus Greatest Hits, and it doesn't fall into either category.

Another question-Anyone hear yet who is doing the Superbowl. I sooooo wish it was Queen & Adam-Singing We are the Champions & We will Rock you & then doing Adam's "Rock Ghost Town" version would be super cool. Also would be cool if they had Zepellin on as well they could do kind of a "Battle of the Bands" type of thing-I think Americans would eat that up!!! Is Adam even in town, I have no idea when the Superbowl is? Lastly is Adam in town for the AMA's this year does anyone know? Just curious if he might be performing, probably not, but was wondering if he's even going?
I thought I heard that Bruno Mars is going to do the Super Bowl (again).
No the person in contention is Adam Levine!!!

Thank you all for your welcome and answers…. I don’t think there is a chance he will ever sing Running live now when his new album is out and his focus is on TOH…. I was just little surprised he never sang it in the past since the song is so beautiful and so well received…. It’s true the song is very difficult to sing live but I wish he sang it at least at one event so we would have a live version
I don’t remember if I ever heard Adam sing before Glee…. I knew that Adam Lambert was a singer from AI, I knew how he looked and I think I read couple of times about him in the media and that was it…
I am fan of Chris Colfer and since Adam was supposed to have alot of screentime with him I was really curious about his character on Glee… And I loved him there, wish he was there more….The quality of Glee went downhill pretty quickly and he and his relationship with Kurt was one of the very few things I enjoyed about the show in the last seasons…. I remember I actually wanted Kurt and Elliot to get together on the show, they had a nice chemistry. :-)
The next time I heard about Adam was when he did the Talk interview with Chris and then couple of weeks later, I somehow came across youtube video of him and Queen performing song (don’t remember what it was), I was curious so I listened and then continued with another one and another one…I absolutely loved it… it honestly did not make me appreciate only Adam but Queen as well since I knew only four or five of their songs… I did not know Who Wants to Live forever or Save me for example which are now some of my favorites…..
Then I started watching alot of interviews with Adam and kinda fell in love with him… You know it’s funny because I am like polar opposite of Adam and I doubt we would be friends in real life but it does not matter since I am here in Czech Republic and he the celebrity in USA. :-D
And I really love his interviews, he seems like such a thoughtful, well-spoken, funny, witty, friendly, sweet, down-to earth guy….(although him not liking cats is big minus, how can you not love these beatiful creatures? :-))
I think I used to imagine him very differently based on some old articles I read years ago...
I wish I get the chance to see him perform live one day, I am sorry I missed Queen with him in Prague… wish I knew about this colaboration earlier… If only his European tour next year included my country too.

Great to hear about other concerts. So excited for mine in January. I'm in quandry over who to take as my wingman... decisions decisions. And on a slightly OTT note Sam Smith has released yet another emotional overwrought ballad about being sad. WTF is it with these people. www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/2015/11/sam-smith-drowning-shadowsOh if only there was a male pop star who would make us want to dance and feel good... oh wait My guess is that it's not gonna happen, but I would love for Adam to do an album of mostly happy (maybe a couple silly- think Shame) songs. It would just be good medicine for the world...

I have been away for a few days on a trip to a small town in Pennsylvania that's about three hours from my house. I was listening to varied radio stations as I drove and as the reception for the stations changed, and I heard WWFM on one station (not too great of a surprise) but then I really was surprised. I happened to hit upon an all acoustical show and decided to listen to it. To my surprise, they played the acoustical version of WWFM which I had never heard on the radio before. It sounded really amazing. You could hear the beauty of Adam's voice really well with just an acoustical guitar accompanying him.

Thanks for sharing your path to discovery with Adam. You have hit on several characteristics we love about Adam. Most of us were first bowled over by the voice, but I don't think most of us would become passionate fans without getting to know the man behind the voice and learning that he is all the things you have noted. Hope you have a chance to explore all the goodies here on ATop. We have a thread just devoted to the articulate vocabulary Adam demonstrates in interviews: adamtopia.com/thread/754/adam-talking Another is an archive of our favorite interviews over the years.... warning: you will get hooked and find yourself chained to your computer for hours! adamtopia.com/board/24/news-favoritesAnother thread that has recently be neglected (hint, hint, folks..... think about contributing something new) is "Holy shit, that's ADAM?" where we post examples of Adam's wide range of singing styles and virtuosity. adamtopia.com/thread/975/holy-sh-adam-voice-versatileOf course, there are many other great threads including a photo archive to drool over. So dive in and join us in posting.
