I used to be so concerned about Adam and finances...Is he breaking even on the GNT tour? Did he get paid as runner-up, did he make something on that 2012 radio tour? Etc...these times are so gone for me. On a personal level, I think, he is past the point, where it matters much. He has reached the level, where he has made enough millions, that his own as well as his family's livelihood is guaranteed. He is set. And while money will always remain a symbol of recognition, and as such should be valued, and surely is valued by him, I think the need to make decisions based on personal finances is reduced. This is now about career, about legacy, about his personal path. So, I have stopped worrying about all that. Adam and his management are making good, no matter what QAL engagement they choose to go after. This golden goose is laying its eggs just fine for Adam.
Now, if the same could be set for labels, it all would be so much easier, But labels typically have access to a much more reduced record based revenue stream, and that is a much tougher business to be in, and without knowing any details about Adam's personal contract situation, just in general, it is clear, that this battle is one that needs to be continuously fought, by any artists who wants to remain on a major label. so hurrah for Monday night football, and TV advertising and other opportunities of that kind. Those are really valuable dollars for Adam and WBR.
