I just finished watching Girl Crush again on my TV. It got me thinking though ... should I get this much pleasure from watching Adam sing someone else's song? Isn't this a betrayal, if only a small one? Shouldn't I confine myself to only watching him sing his own songs? And I thought about this and why I took such pleasure in Adam singing Girl Crush and here is what I decided. First, I do listen to Adam sing his own songs, especially live, because I really love some of the songs. When he sings his own material, is funny, giddy, sincere, sexy, and joyous and I love him that way. I also love him singing Queen songs because he is funny, campy, stretched to his vocal best, and his relationship with the band is a joy to watch. Now to Girl Crush, the song is good but not great and Adam transforms it emotionally with a light touch and a sincere heart, but what gets me every time is his bravery. He is up there in front of a crowd that certainly appreciates talent, but he knows that he is not their genre of singer and he is singing a song that hints heavily to a situation that created controversy. Still he is there and gives them a performance that touches the heart of the members of the band whose song he sings. His bravery touches me and I will continue to listen to the song again and again. Love your perspective! I watch Girl Crush because I must watch Adam. The high def glorious closeups. The lift to his upper lip right before he says "lips", the closing of his palette to get a long n in "blonnnde", the sparkle in his eyes that reminds me of his singing Beth in the AI finale. The interpretation that goes beyond the voice and then I come back to the voice and I hear the lilt and note slide up or down in so many of the words, is that homage to country or just Adam you wonder and then you don't, because it doesn't matter. And I wonder at the pacing, is he wishing the beat were just a bit faster? But it's not and he fills those spaces with the extra. There's so much to look at, so much to listen too, it's not a one note or one look. It's the way he stands with one knee slightly bent, the sweep of the camera past him that makes him look so tall. It's holding the mic far enough away that it doesn't get in the way of our view, it was seeing the ear pieces so close up and maybe they aren't glittery after all but just see through. The side look he gives the audience as he does his first wail and the ability to tone it back down in the next stanza. So much. It was stiller than Ring of Fire but he didn't hardly move then either. It's the stillness that shows the extra. ETA- made some spelling corrections eeek. www.youtube.com/watch?v=RmdmhHQkiK0I love the moment at .39/.40 when Adam briefly looks at me, the viewer!

I'm sure some people here know who these people behind her were. I'm disgusted. if I ever witness this at a show, there will be a brawl. guaranteed. "went with a friend who is a fan but not in fandom. we caught echosmith, the opener, and took turns going to the restroom before adam. during the break, a group of 4 tweens/teens (2 boys and 2 girls) sat in the row in front of us. they were really cute and well-behaved. they sang and danced together and had a good time with each other, they knew the lyrics, nothing inappropriate at all. during the drive home, my friend told me that the people behind us were bitching about the kids during the time i was gone. that the kids didn't deserve those seats, that ~real fans deserved those seats, etc." I will offer my personal observation: People who refer to themselves as 'Real Fans' are frequently the biggest self-entitled asses in the building. Party on kids! Agreed and witnessed.

I wonder if I am the only one who read this article and immediately googled the "finnish heavy metal band for kids". If you happen to like nordic heavy metal, go listen to Hevisaurus! I wonder what they are singing about! Will little Sophia be watching this when she is older?

Yes, you should buy them seperately, but if you buy all of them, it is still counted as an EP and not as singles. Always skip one when buying remixes. Oh really? I bought them all, but it never asked me if I want to complete the album, so I figured each one counted individually. :-/ I think if you buy say three from iTunes and one from Amazon or elsewhere they would each count as singles. I guess that's what I'll plan to do.

Here you go: lyricstranslate.com/en/raeyh-roar.htmlShe listened to it this morning, and seemed to like it :D When she gets old enough to talk, we will ask her what she thinks of it (both mom and dad are little metal heads, so it might be genetics)

I just bought all the remixes which brings me to this question. I got a new computer not long ago and all the itune purchases did not come over to the new computer. FYE and Trespassing are still on my old itune site. Anyone know how to transfer them over?

I like watching Adam sing this song because it is a professional TV shot and he comes in very clear and the sound is great. We don't get to see that often

WOW! And another WOW from me! I can't count how many times I've watched this performance and listened to it as well. 9 repeat listens on the elliptical machine = 250 calories burned. lol. It's my current addiction, until the next time he blows me away. I've been noticing how much I enjoy the rasp or gravelly quality Adam uses as a part of his vocal palette. I also thought I detected a little tearing up on his part as well as on the part of the two band members in the audience, which I found very moving. And I was think how quietly revolutionary this performance was, and what a testament it is to the power of his following his own path with courage, authenticity and positivity ( which he had mentioned in an interview was a form of self discipline).

If you are signed in to iTunes with the same AppleID on both computers, you should be able to just download them again for free.
