What is OG Glamberts? Old Guard? OG = Original Gangster = someone who has been around a long time/since the beginning. Someone on Adam Lambert Fans (Facebook) tried to used OG Glamberts to designate fans since the Idol Audition. It has become a bit of a Twitter joke since then.

This is Angelina, the opera singer and friend of Cassie and some of us here. I downloaded her book for free a while back. Haven't had time to read it yet, but since things are slow right now...some of you may be interested.

If you are contemplating a gift for Adam here is something to consider. Sadly, there are some crazies out there among us. Because of this, many celebrities may graciously accept gifts of food and drink, but in private, throw them out for fear of some contamination.

I need your help guys!! Adam is coming to a TV studio next week for a TV programme. I'm going, hoping that I'll get to meet him, and I was thinking: if I really get to meet him, I wanted to give him a little gift -- but I don't know what! I wanted it to be something practical, something that he would appreciate or use -- like a necklace or bracelet, or even herbal tea/THROAT COAT TEA -- I really need suggestions!! A few suggestions: 1. Do not give him anything edible. They do not keep edible items. So nix the tea. 2. Avoid really personal items. With only a few exceptions, anything you bring to him will be screened and anything personal or "creepy" will be discarded. 3. Don't spend a lot of money. Adam is not impressed by expensive gifts and seems to be more impressed by thoughtful, distinctive and handmade gifts. 4. If you have a formal M&G, you can leave something for him but you will not be allowed to hand it to him. There is usually a pile of things people bring to him. 5. Adam doesn't "need" anything but he seems to like small, local items. *** Sometimes, he takes a small item from someone in the front row. I sat near the young girl who gave Adam the blue rose at the St. Louis. She put together a gift bag for him that included the rose and bracelet. He took the rose and she handed him the bracelet with it. He then set it near the drums. Then he saw her face. She was so disappointed -- and I am sure he saw this -- he went back, pick up the blue rose and talked about it a bit. She was so thrilled but also speechless. He asked "What the blue rose meant?" She could not answer but later told me that it was blue because it was a wintertime rose. He ignored the bracelet. One of the production guys picked it up later and it was added to his gift pile. > This girl gave him an expensive bracelet -- the single blue rose was more appealing to Adam. Big items rarely even get into the venue. One notable exception, at the New Orleans GNT (2010), a fan brought Adam an elaborate, custom-made Voodoo Spirit Stick. I was surprised they even got it into the venue but they did, and they got it to Neil Lambert who was Adam's PA at the time. Much to their delight, Adam used it in his show. But after the intro of the song (a minute or two), he set it aside. *** Overall -- he really does not need anything, but if you want to give him something, I would keep it small, distinctive and meaningful. And don't be disappointed if he does not take it/get it. JMHO -- if you get to meet him, tell him that you like his music. That will probably be the biggest gift you can give him.

Ghost......If there is some smallish item unique to Singapore...I think he would like it. You write so very, very well....I think he'd love a note from you, like Cassie suggested. Maybe include a pic of yourself so he could put a face to the note. Fingers crossed you get the opportunity to attend the TV show, and/or meet Adam. You just never know how these things will play out. But, one thing's for certain.....you'll be seeing him live on NYE! Anything else is icing on the cake.
ETA: or what Q3 said above.
