A philosophical moment ... There are many things in my life, both big and small, that are wonderful and each day is a gift. One of those things is being here interacting with all you beautiful people, thank you so much. Another is Adam and absorbing the joy he takes in his craft and which he manifests to the world. His beauty is visual, aural, and emotive. Occasionally though, I have moments of reset where it is necessary to align expectations and reality. Some are personal, like thinking that I can do the same things I could do when I was twenty and being upset when I cannot. When I reset, I understand that the things I am doing now are good and should not be discounted based on unreasonable criteria. It lessens their value and narrows my world without cause. With Adam, this also happens when I begin to think the top one percent is a barometer of success with the implication that anything less is failure and I am sad when I see a one percent marker he has not met. It really does not take much to make me realize this is ridiculous and his success is real and assured on a scale more commensurate with the real world. Today was one of those days. I have reset and all is right with the world. A good reminder. Thanks for that, LindaG23.

Dear Betty, Thank you so much for the birthday cakes--and for all the time and care you put into providing such a sweet remembrance for all of us on our birthdays.I appreciate you so much, and send you a hug of gratitude from here in California. Passion cakes! How delightfully appropriate as we celebrate our ongoing passion for our Adam!! Aww, thank you for your kind words, lorraine! (Sorry for my late reply, I'm still busy catching up on the threads of the last days! )
