Amaryllis @thefilmqueen 3h3 hours ago .@adamlambert mention & photo in today's @latimes article on the Clive Davis party.
Yay. I wanted to make sure this was posted. One of the best things about it is that it's part of a 2 page spread on the Grammies and he got a prominent picture and mention. Definitely leaves an impression that he was a big part of the hoopla. I was really thrilled to see it. This LA times article with Adam prominently pictured makes my day Thank you.

More thoughts on Gaga performance. Since I've only stanned one musician I have to bring it back to him. This Gaga/Bowie performance was most like Adam's FYE AMAs performance. Both were overstaged, overthought, over wrought, over caricaturized, over hyped. I don't know that at award shows if anyone is safe from trying to be over the top and even our Adam the last time he did an award show tribute - EMAs with Queen was over the top and trying to hard. That's why things didn't "click" until the Ihearts. Thanks for keeping it real. When I typed an earlier comment about my "disconnect" with Gaga's performance last night I immediately had flashbacks to Adam's AMA FYE performance. I think Adam has learned that he's at his best in terms of "audience impression" when he connects emotionally.

I don't know... that EMAs performance was the very first time I saw Adam sing (as a big Freddie fan thinking there was no way someone/anyone but him could sing Queen songs, never). And Adam did it! He won me over immediately. He was brilliant! I didn't find that performance over the top. Not at all. I loved it. In my opinion things didn't click until the Ihearts because Adam just needed to get used the fact he was singing with such legends as Brian and Roger and relax. It took some time. Anyway to me, he was perfect since the very beginning.

Anyway to me, he was perfect since the very beginning. If the EMAs were an example of Adam not clicking with a performance, he obviously can excel in any situation. I thought he was amazing. We hoped for just a few lines of one song. Or a spoken introduction. We got Adam smashing three huge Queen classics. Looking and sounding stunning. He is such a seasoned pro, no matter the circumstances: debut performance on the world stage with Queen? No problem. Last minute substitution at the COUNTRY MUSIC awards ceremony? Sure, I can do that. He is limitless.
