I remember Adam's GNT tour, which included @150 shows (give or take). He didn't miss ONE. Once he took the stage, he was the only singer up there, no back-up singers, no long instrumental interludes to give him rest. Just a few quick costume changes. His voice sounded great the whole time. If he had a "down day," it sure wasn't noticeable. He has a strong body and chest, well-trained vocal chords, and he knows how use them and protect them. Good training helps, of course, but even the best-trained singers can have vocal chord damage. Too many pop and rock don't know how to protect their voices. Thank God Adam knows what he'd doing. He even got through those high-energy, very demanding Queen shows with little or no noticeable problems (other than the bronchitis). He was born with the right body and vocal strength to do his job. And he takes care of himself.
And I agree that it's too bad the doctor in this article didn't mention the importance of vocal training. It would have been great to have had Adam mentioned as a singer who sings long, loud and proud, but hasn't needed surgery on his throat.
This was posted 2 nights ago and is by an ENT Specialist. I loved it because we know from observation + Adam's interviews, that he is doing every single one of the things she recommends for "life on tour!" I wonder how many artists do the exercising before a show, like Adam does? www.singingforaliving.com/articles/vocal-health-tips/Celine Dion is an artist who has always taken merticulous care of her voice and has not had any significant problems that I've ever heard of despite a 20+ year career of singing including nightly shows in Vegas etc... Thankfully Adam is aware that his voice is his instrument and that he needs to take care of it. If you look at the advice they give you have to wonder about the whole interviews and meet and greet ahead of concerts thing. I'd probably be saying no at least to interviews, but then there is the whole promotional game that you have to play. Trying to find that balance is, I imagine, work.

Hi everyone, I am thinking about going to the concert in New Brunswick and had a few questions I wanted to see if anyone could help me out with before I buy tickets. I have class that night and probably won't be able to catch a train to NB until about 7:00 which could end up getting me to the venue around 8 or a little later. Also I want to try to make the 10:30 train home. Does anyone know how close to on time or how late have the shows been starting and how long the show last? Thanks

I am so proud and pleased that he did nor follow the advice of many here who wanted him to keep quiet and not comment. That is how these abuses proliferate. Only shows of strength stop bullies, regardless the situation. I'm one who didn't want him to comment. The way he did it, though, was perfect - supporting Kesha without making specific comments about the situation. My comment was in response to someone here wondering what Adam's take on the whole situation was. I still don't want him to wade in on that. Oh, I think you mean me. But for me, too, Adam's tweet is perfect. Adam knows Dr. Luke, too (is he really a "Dr."?). Maybe Adam hasn't kissed Dr. Luke (!) but he has worked with him (as have Demi Lovato and Kelly Clarkson, both of whom have tweeted out - Demi pro-Kesha, Kelly anti-Luke.). Adam's use of the hashtag #freekesha, for me, is his take on the whole situation or, at least, enough for my wondering to be satisfied.

We already know that Adam followed Dalton Rapattoni from Idol on Twitter and Dalton thanked him and followed back. At around the 17 minute mark he mentions Adam briefly saying that Adam PMd him and they "chatted it up". He said Adam was a cool guy. Also at around 19:20...Somebody suggested he and Adam should sing together..and Dalton said Adam would "show my ass up so bad.."... www.periscope.tv/w/1dRJZpbzozzKB twitter.com/BoyBandElfLover/status/701472602976559104

Maybe Kesha should write a song asking them to drop her like Amanda Palmer resorted to when she was trying to get out of her contract (for albeit very different reasons, they were on a heavy metal label because was only one they could get deal with after years and years of rejections)... I'm sure if Kesha did and put it out on youtube it would be viral in 10 seconds.... www.youtube.com/watch?v=iMi7wRfmoMs&feature=youtu.beNote: It didn't work. Wasn't until she said she wanted to have a baby that they dropped her and THAT is a whole different discussion.

Adam may have known that the guy's a bit of a J***, but he may treated Adam differently since Adam's contract doesn't link him directly to the guy. Also, as much as he doesn't like bullies, pretty sure Adam doesn't know the whole situation, so I am glad with the way he tweeted his support. He may consulted his management and Shoshanna before he twitted out his support. JMHO. It is also possible that he treated Adam differently because he didn't want to have sex with Adam.

Thanks All I know is the OZ/NZ shows I attended which were promoted by Dainty Group. If the show starts at 8pm...the doors were at 7pm. The support act there was Melanie Martinez and she went on just a hair past 8pm and sang for 30 minutes. Adam was scheduled to start at 9pm..after the 30 minute break. He came on anywhere from a few minutes past 9 to 9:15. His show lasted 1 1/2 hours. We generally were finished by 10:45 give or take depending on what time he actually started. Unless he changes the setlist much...I don't expect him to...and provided A Newell or whoeever gets 30 minutes....it should be similar I would guess. WE should know after the first show on the 23rd approx how it will play out time wise.
