Guess you weren't "dragged up" in the Deep South USA. :D And no... I refuse...You can't make me do homework.....lol Well, I only said it as a joke, then all these nutters joined in.. Deep South USA? If Scott Borchetta, Taylor Swift's boss and head of Big Machine Records is any indication, there are some powerful people that do think mistakes were made. Though he never did elaborate further, here is his quote and the article it came from... When asked .......Are there contestants from earlier (Idol) years Borchetta would have liked to work with? "Adam Lambert comes to mind. I think a lot of people think Adam won. He's an enormous talent.. and a lot of the choice s he made stunted his career."www.usatoday.com/story/life/tv/2015/01/17/idol-sings-again/21931809/I am one who will never buy into the view that it assited in his intial career....in my neck of the woods! To add to Scott B's comment re his choices stunting his career...... ONE more not so happy result for Adam...The Oprah show went to reruns in parts of the southern and mid USA when he was on the episode with Susan Boyle. I remember those on Atop who were eagerly waiting to watch the interview. Rightly or wrongly....conservative views/ liberal views....Adam made his choices....he has grown his career....and as I mentioned before ....this conversation is so old, I wonder why I cannot holdback from entering this banter back and forth. It does nothing...makes no changes. I continue to support. Others not. On the AMA PERFORMANCE. Well in my world of work, families world of work, relations...he was the hottest topic in staff rooms, around the table discussions...while on Idol, men and women, talking about one of the best ever...a crime he did not win conversations for days. After the AMA, again he was the hot topic but not in a good way. The performance was such a shock....it has taken years for any gains in appreciation of Adam or they are still not remotely interested in him as an artist. He may have gained many but he also lost many. Adam has referenced.....if he is not people's cup of tea...does not matter to him. Cannot please everyone. He will be who he is! Although I agree with Nica, Adam's performance was brilliant apart from under par vocals, I certainly got the impression that in the US it shocked people so much, all the interviews seemed to be trying to garner some kind of an apology from him, kinda what were you thinking of, why did you do it, sort of thing....I didn't think he had apologised, so that's a shame, but I did see in a video that he promised his show was family friendly, which in a way was bowing his head to the relentless pressure. My opinion comes totally from watching youtube videos from that time.

Went back to look for the original source of inspiration and yes indeed that is one pent up ball of sexual energy ready to explode. I actually thought the same thing which created grist for tonite's bawdy babes.. You naughty girls, look what I missed!

OK..so palaver brings me out of lurking.. I'm a very visual person, so the first thing that came up for me with Palaver was: Somehow it fits.. Don't even get me going on schtum.. Um......See me after class..!

Here goes I don't like it when people try to schlam my chatter as I enjoy a lttle palaver every now and then. Never, ever heard either word before today. Ok I'll play: I tend to get pretty schtum when all the palaver focuses on ancient history of music awards performances and bad acceptance speeches by people not called Adam. These 2 are late entries and therefore cannot be marked. Teacher is having a lie down....

Reading the AMA discussion...
I am kinda conservative person so the AMA performance is not exactly my taste (no problem with the kiss - I don't see kissing as anything vulgar and the gender and sexuality should not matter and doesn't to me but some of the other stuff weren't totally my cup of tea)
But since I am a new fan, I saw the performance just few montsh ago for the first time...and because I had read about it so much before I watched it I was rather surprised it was much tamer than I expected it to be... I would have probably felt differently If I had watched it years ago when it aired and without any exppecation...but still I am suprised that just one performance changed opinion of Adam for some people so strongly and for some it still last... And I personally share opinion of people who don't see reason why he should apologize for it...
Anyway I hope he'll get the chance to perform on big awards show one day again...
