For anyone concerned about getting a "short set" concert -- I recommend not worrying about it. And to enjoy the show.
1. You have no power to change it but if you let yourself get wrapped up with "I did not get song A, B and C" -- you will be unhappy. I would really fight the urge to go there.
2. I have seen 2 "short" shows and 1 "long" show. My favorite was tonight's Charlotte concert - a "short" concert. He was so intense for some songs then playful and sexy for other songs. He was much more relaxed and fun than the DC show. The energy in the audience was also different -- people were really happy.
3. Adam was really really good in all three shows I saw.
***
The lighting is different in every venue because they are using the house lighting rig for some of the lighting. Tonight's lighting was not as wack as DC's and it was better.

My sentiments exactly. I had to leave a Bon Jovi concert about 25 songs in. I couldn't take it anymore. And I didn't even hear the one song I came for Which Adam show are going to go? Me? None. I live in western canada. I considered LA but my schedule didn't work. I will be in Spain in May though and am pondering the cheapo return flight from Barcelona to Zurich or Milan. Do you think my family will notice I'm missing for a day or two? Doubt it lol

Well seeing people are in this mode how about we get inventive and see what ideas we can come up with to help Adam stretch out his shows. He moves along at a full on clip not really breaking between songs except to sip some tea and occasionally to have a quick motivational chat.
I'll get started.
He can do a Bruce Spingsteen and get someone up on the stage to dance around with during the "dance" part of the show. (net gain about 5-10 mins)
He could give a intro to each song taking a few minutes to go into why it represents some deep meaningful part of his life. (easy gain of 3 mins for every song he does that for)
He could do a Swifty and bring some other celebrity or local performer on stage to sing a song with him (gain of 10-15 minutes)
He could add some acrobatics (ala Pink) to his show (gain 10+ minutes for set up and let down)
He could get his back up singers to do a few songs like Leonard Cohen does (gain break time and extra 10+ minutes)
... oh so many options that could artificially stretch out the show in ways many other performers routinely do. Or he can be high octane, full throttle Adam for an 60-75 mins.
For me his voice, presence and energy are the show, the rest is just window dressing. He could stand on stage and sing the phone book (especially if he did it improv style accompanied by guitar) and I'd happily pay the ticket price.

This may be the wrong thread to discuss my very first Adam Lambert Show at Lincoln Theatre, in Washington DC. To be completely honest I wondered about the "long vs short setlist" but was quite happy to discover that we had the full performance, despite the long NYC show. I had hopes for the long setlist, but was really acceptable with whatever I got since NY got the full show. I've heard it before how Adam feeds off the audience energy and I know the 6 young people I'd never met before who got me a seat on row 7 were absolutely the kindness, considerate people I'd ever met. I had such fun, it was more than worth the travel via trains and buses from Philadelphia to Washington DC. I can understand some feeling "cheated" due to THEIR expectations of what they would get at their show, but since TOH tour is still being tinkered with and depending upon what Adam has to do to protect his vocal instrument, IMO It's always a spectacular, awesome show, totally professional and creative. Have rarely enjoyed myself this much.
