yeah, that sounds like a good plan -- and it's what i have been doing. but when Q3 talked about buzz singles i got nervous that i might be doing the wrong thing. Well Buzz still means they want a response lol. So yes stream. I.think q3 meant. They are not expecting a big hit. Of course they would love it. But its more a buzz to maybe counter Aln not sure. But of course stream. Its the new single. So still do it. Just to clarify, I did not mean that WTTS would not be a hit -- I was just trying to post about the strategy of releasing a non-album single and the purpose for releases like this. Ghost Town was heavily promoted to push album sales -- and they got a huge unexpected bonus from the substantial streaming numbers and its move into the DJ/Dance world. ALN was a modest adult pop hit in the US and a few other countries -- and they got a huge unexpected bonus in the US because it is a Club hit. Now we have a non-album single. Just speculating on why release it beyond the obvious of having something new for Idol.

Just read Q3's post. There's more to this single that WBR has in store for? What else? This is getting me excited. I like to envision great big plans, but to be realistic they may just be a remix EP, or something on a small scale. Also, what will we hear from Idolator on Monday? That was got to be WTTS-related. Or maybe Idolator is just sharing their interview lol. Idolator probably was promoting their interview.

So, Q3, if it's a buzz single are we wasting our time by playing it a lot? Shouldn't we be waiting for a radio release? And resume listening to ALN over and over (which I stopped doing once WTTS became available? I'm not convinced it's a buzz single. The whole purpose of a "buzz single" is to create buzz for something--usually an upcoming album. Pretty sure Adam is not at that point. According to Shosh, the single will be pushed to radio; ALN is done, WBR is clearly directing fans in this new direction. All indications point to WTTS being the focus at this point. I used the term buzz single with an explanation that I specifically did not mean it as a lead-in to an album. Buzz singles are used for many purposes and often promoted to radio. Sometimes they are used to transition an artist from one type of music to another.

Exactly. Exactly.

So Maybe idol well use it in a special montage of 15 years of idol.Maybe summer olympics. Special ad spot dunno. But dont think its Just a radio single. As its stand alone

Not sure how to imbed a tweet, but this has a really clear snippit of Adam's vocal's for Can't Go Home from Mar 17 Miami. Don't remember seeing it here. His social media activity exhausts me. It's non stop. I've seen that but not sure if it was here or elsewhere

As its stand alone Why wouldn't WTTS be a standalone single? That's what Rihanna did. She released several singles between albums, including "American Oxygen" and "Bitch Better Have My Money", and none of them appeared on her latest album, ANTI. The music business has changed, and stand-alone singles and EPS are becoming more common. Of course, I may be wrong about WTTS, but I think it's very possible that WBR decided that there weren't any more viable singles on TOH and decided to release a new single, maybe to test an alternate direction for Adam. Or maybe just to fill the gap between albums.

I found it interesting that Adam now feels the 'eye on the prize' isn't the ultimate for him anymore. Very cool. No wonder doors keep opening for him. It drives me crazy that a reporter from my home town is dragging up old "news". It's all about the music!!!!! Me too! I am from Milwaukee and I wanted to make a comment on the website but you can only do this if you have a subscription. I cancelled this rag several years ago and I am unwilling to throw money their way for this type of journalism. I was frustrated with the weekend highlight portion when the writer said "several" arena concerts and festivals with Queen since 2011. Several??? How about 66 and counting. Then he selects the 3 most overdone, outdated topics ever to include in his edited version of the interview: the AMA question, the Gay question, and then, "Why aren't you more successful?" I am embarrassed and saddened that Adam had to respond to this tripe. He didn't throw nearly enough shade at that interviewer if you ask me. But Adam is infinitely more gracious than me. OK, rant over. To end on a positive note, I am so looking forward to seeing TOHT on Tuesday. Adam was shown a lot of love at the Riverside during the Glamnation tour. I was lucky enough to be in the front row and witness a super sexy WLL encore with him splayed on the stairs. This will be the 1st concert since Idol performance and I am hoping to hear him perform WTTS!!!
