twitter.com/14gelly/status/715932419426291712ENTERTAINMENT Adam Lambert’s fans win Best Fanbase of 2016 By Nathan Byrne | April 1, 2016 Music webzine Pop Crush has announced the winners of its March Madness competition and Adam Lambert’s fanbase, known as Glamberts, have scored the Best Fanbase of 2016 prize. The stars fans first went up against 5SOS and won, then they took on Girls’ Generation and won, and then faced off against Beyoncé’s Beyhive. In the final round, the Glamberts went head to head with 1D’s Directioners and won – but only just – with 51.3% of the total vote. Lambert, meanwhile, recently told Las Vegas Weekly about his intentions where his latest album, entitled ‘The Original High’, is concerned: “I’m such a pop-culture junkie, I like to find out what’s going on, what people are saying, what’s going on in social media.” “There’s a lot of tension out there right now, and even though it’s pop music, I wanted to touch on that. I wanted to sing about stuff that was a bit more serious and a little bit more real. There’s some scary stuff that’s been going on. And yet again, at the same time, we do employ dance music in the album: There’s beats, there’s things to make you move. My hope is that you can find some sort of healing or catharsis with the songs.”Are you an Official Glambert? Let us know in the comments below or tweet us @xplodemag

Just browsed through my Chicago Tribune this morning (hard copy) and found a good article about the Idol finale written by Associated Press writer Lynn Elber. Her article mentioned a slew of AI contestants from its whole run. But, to my astonishment, not ONE mention of Adam. KC. CA and JH are mentioned as major alums, of course. But I could not believe he wasn't even mentioned. I know he will not be on the finale, but he did have his own featured appearance a few weeks ago. Adam has such huge cred from that show. He has one of the strongest solo careers. It just ticked me off that his name wasn't even mentioned. I went Elber's website and the article was there among others. I could have left her a comment, nicely worded, of course, but I chose not to. Sorry for my rant, but I just had to vent here a little. Adam is the only Idol to have been on the show every year since his own year. And on and on. Sigh.

Buzzfeed did an article asking 58 former AI contestants "what Idol meant to me" Here's Adam's answer: "Idol put me on the map. I was in a place in my career where I had been performing around L.A., New York, and various other countries and cities. I was looking for something to shift, but I couldn’t figure out how to do it. And then, when I saw there was an audition coming up, having watched the show since the beginning, I was like, you know what? I’m 27. I might as well go for it, because I will kick myself later if I don’t try out, since I’ve been a fan this long. I didn’t expect it to actually take me as far as it did at all. I thought, Oh god, there’s no way I’m going to make the top 13. There’s no way I’m going to. And every time I got voted in, I was shocked, and more and more, I started to really enjoy it. “I remember them telling me after my second audition that in order to progress, you couldn’t have any professional contracts of any kind signed, and I was in a musical here in L.A. called Wicked. That was my salary. That’s how I lived. And they said, ‘You can’t do that anymore.’ What a risk that was to have to say goodbye to my job, a job that was hard to get, by the way, and take a chance. I’m so glad I took it. Because if I hadn’t, if I’d done the safe thing, where would I be? Probably still in the chorus.” Link to entire article: www.buzzfeed.com/jarettwieselman/american-idol-alums-reveal-what-the-show-meant-to-them#.baWMVynlV

Thank heavens voting is over. Let's hope there are no new voting poles again. We all get obsessive
on a side note
adam has recently posted two instagrams. One with blacken smokey eyes. The other a head fused w a wolf
could he possibly be giving us a hint of a guest appearance on the series Penny Dreadful???? Idk. I'd like to think he has another tv appearance in the future

Wow, Adam's photo op wardrobe is even worse than mine in Wichita! Same hat and smile, but this sweater makes him look big/fat. It seems like a cruel joke sometimes. We know he is so handsome with wonderful hair and a sleek body, but seems he tries to cover it all up often in these photo ops.
