4Music - American Idol’s Best Ever Bits www.4music.com/news/news/american-idol%E2%80%99s-best-ever-bitsTHE GLAMBERT Appearing on American Idol in 2009, Adam Lambert finished as runner-up to Kris Allen on the show’s eighth season. Fast forward to today, and Adam ranks as Idol’s most successful contestant when it comes to moolah – he earned over $10 million dollars just last year alone. Whoa. We’ll never forget his audition when he sang Bohemian Rhapsody - bet Adam never dreamt he’d ACTUALLY get to tour with Queen! youtu.be/pIJYVPpt5Ls

What the actual fuck....?! The planned Freddie Mercury biopic could have another big-star name join its cast alongside Ben Whishaw, as Adam Lambert says he wants a part in the film. Not only that, the singer-songwriter - who has toured extensively with Queen's Brian May and Roger Taylor over the past five years performing the band's most iconic hits - has a very specific part for himself in mind. "I'd want to be in bed with Freddie," Adam exclusively told Digital Spy. "I think that would be appropriate at this point! "I don't usually say things on the record, but that's the part I want. I want to be one of his lovers." The American star also added that he has had discussions with guitarist Brian May about what the film will be like once it's finally written. "I've had little conversations with [Brian May] about it," he said. "I asked about how times have changed as far as being open about somebody's private life. "And I asked them, 'How are you going to approach that with the story of Freddie?' Back in the '70s and the '80s, it was something you just didn't really talk about. "Obviously we're in a much different time now, and it's very topical so it'll be really interesting to see how they'll approach that part of his life. "They haven't quite figured it out yet as the movie is still in development." Ben Whishaw is currently in line to portray Freddie Mercury in the big screen biopic after Sasha Baron Cohen pulled out last year. Meanwhile, Adam Lambert recently released brand new single 'Welcome To The Show' to coincide with his current The Original High world tour. The jaunt will stop off at London's Eventim Apollo on April 14, before hitting Manchester Academy on April 16. Adam will then return to the UK to headline the Isle Of Wight Festival as the frontman of Queen on June 9-12.
