These reviews are killing me with happiness - they are saying everything I always want the reviewers to say, lauding Adam's truly awe-some voice, his power and control, as well as all the other talent he is bringing to the stage - the lights, the imagery, his band, the dynamic dancers (I think Holly is electric as "Lucy"), the choreo, his clothes(!), pacing, humor, heart, stagecraft, etc. - all in order to give his audiences what so many say is THE best concert experience thay've ever had.
Nick Jonas is going to be on SNL tomorrow nite and I am not even chagrined - I'll watch because I like his songs, happy in the knowledge that Adam is busy doing his thing for live, adoring audiences worldwide (while, all the while, perhaps unsuspecting hockey fans are becoming fans of an undeniably contagious anthem by, "who? Adam Lambert!?" and throngs of celebratory EDM fans jump to "Can't Go Home" and Steve Aoki raves about the song and Adam on all his social media and QAL tickets are selling and RHPS awaits us. Congratulations to Adam for his life! - that's how I feel, and I hope he is on cloud ten.

OT, but related to our Adam fandom. This article points out a phenomenon I hadn't even clearly articulated in my head: the mocking and condescending attitudes towards teen girls and their passions. We have seen it extended to women of a certain age who are passionate Adam fans as well. Boys and men of all ages demonstrate many of the same over-the-top reactions to sports, comic books (referred to as "graphic novels" to legitimize them), and cars. But male fans who paint their faces with their team's colors, or have basements totally dedicated to team or car memorabilia are not belittled like girls and women who decorate their rooms with Justin Bieber, One Direction or Adam Lambert. Who dress up and wear glitter, dance and scream at concerts. I guess body paint, dancing, flailing and shouting yourself hoarse is cool at a sports event (if you are a guy). We even do this belittling or devaluing stuff to ourselves at times. How many comments have been made BY US about Adam's audience finally having more guys in it, as if that finally makes him more legitimate and acceptable? Just a thought. YMMV. www.mnn.com/lifestyle/arts-culture/stories/why-do-we-hate-things-teen-girls-love?utm_source=CNN&utm_medium=Desktop&utm_campaign=April2016“I remember, very clearly, what it was like to be a teenage girl. To always feel like my opinion didn’t matter, to always feel like my very approval of something instantly lessened its cool quotient,” she writes. “We make sure [teen girls] know that their interests are vapid and trite. We hate everything they love, on principle. How are they supposed to grow up to be writers, thinkers, artists, lawyers, doctors or anything when they feel subhuman?”

"In an age where technology often enhances a singer's true voice, it was a welcome change to hear a true perfect effortless vocal range, stunning, glorious and operatic/powerful one moment, sensitive and soft the next. Not once did his voice falter and this was despite Lambert's smooth choreography and crowd participation antics. " " Whilst singing 'Let's Dance', a fan in the front row by the stage needed to be carried away by security and Lambert quickly changed the lyrics to 'she swayed'. " I thought I heard him change those lyrics!

Here are a couple of nice comments from the article. Steve France Adam is the best entertainer today. Stellar vocals and he owns the stage. Mesmerizing. Can't take my eyes off of him when he performs. He also has the most beautiful eye contact with all concert goers. He's a rare gem !!!!! Chris Lawson Chris Lawson Seriously can't wait until tomorrow. Travelling all the way from Dundee to Manchester for this!! Been 6 years since the Glam Nation Tour! Words can't describe how excited I am, and he's still singing Runnin'!!! #theoriginalhightour Ian McKenzie Wow, what a set list, can't think of another performer who gives this much entertainment.

We hate everything they love, on principle. How are they supposed to grow up to be writers, thinkers, artists, lawyers, doctors or anything when they feel subhuman?” I've tried pointing out to my DH that very fact, that my liking Adam, the Stones, or whomever is no different from men liking sports teams (and I'm a big Red Sox fan, so there's that! - he's a Yankees fan, so you know how that goes!!). But he refuses to see the similarity. He'll spend hours and hours watching basketball games on TV of schools he has no connections to, yet he seems to see Adam as some kind of personal threat. And whether we're teens or adults, why should we change? I always laughed when I was a teenager and crazy about the Beatles and Stones and my father would say that I'd "outgrow" it. And what, shift to Benny Goodman? Haha.

I thought this was an interesting pic of someone waiting for their M & G with Adam in Amsterdam. Adam's silhouette is behind the screen. Reaching out to one another in silhouette , kind of like his soapbox message.
