In honor of GAY Pride here in SF this weekend - I'm posting this song that is very personal to me - my very first girlfriend said this song was to ME (and it WAS me then!) Think it applies to lots of people just "coming out" Great lyrics ~ Hope you enjoy ~ `

Wow, that Russian gig is the gift that keeps on giving. Adam looked fantastic that day, wow! I can't wait to see his outfit for Canada! Canadians-- the Russians have set a high bar in terms of pics and vids. Game on, people! I hope we will be hearing a new single by then. Here is hoping anyway.

OT, but relevant to our interests - saw a feature on CNN Showbiz Tonight - punk rock band Rise Against made a music video to protest bullying of gay teens. Video ends with clips from It Gets Better. They wanted to make the video because they didn't think their part of the music world - punk and hard rock- had said enough against this type of bullying - hadn't represented. Cool. Change is happening.

If anyone is interested....this is the link to the website of an academic who writes on what it is like to be a BSC fan of a musician....her relationships with other fans....meeting up around the world at concerts....feeling that she is getting her enthusiasm for music and her mojo back....by fan stanning Duran Duran! She speaks so much like we do here on this forum that it is amazing. It may surprise you..... www.girlsonline-project.com/?page_id=131

Also made me think that Adam featured in a duet with a hard rock band might be cool. Band could make a statement, Adam could get broader exposure. just a thought...

Change is happening. I posted this YT about a month ago. Have they made their own video now? I did a cursory Google search and still only found the fan-made ones, but I really like the song. It sounds more like a good alt-rock song then punk to me. Powerful message; lead singer recites the names of the kids who committed suicide last year.
