had to quote myself for continuity: just heard from an Adam fan who also heard of a Japan QAL date(s) as if it were a done deal... looking betterer and betterer.... The Japanese and Chinese fans seems to have an inside track on all Adam news, so I think this is a good guess. But would any of us be surprised by Japan. When I heard "Asia," Japan and China were the first countries that came to mind. Now, with Singapore happening, I am thinking about a few countries down there too. VietNam? Malaysia? Indonesia? And Israel opens up the possibility of Dubai too! If they don't go to Indonesia or Malaysia, Queen and Adam fans will fly from these countries to Singapore. Only 1 hr flight. How about Korea? And why they leave out South Africa?

It is kinda hard to imagine someone who doesn't know who Kylie Minogue is.... She was massive in Europe. Well, imagine ME. LOL. I had heard the name mentioned ....maybe.....at some point in the past....but had no idea who she was or where she was from. I assume she was a popular enough "pop star" to have had her song covered in the group number on Idol, so obviously that song was being played on radio. Still don't think she was very popular here. Yeah if you look at those wiki stats you can see that in the US she hardly had any hits. While in Europe and Australia she had several charting singles. So no wonder the US people are not so familiar with her. You can imagine us European people wondering about it though. She rose to fame in the television series Neighbours (Australian soap series), but also that I see wasn't very popular in the US. It was pretty popular in Europe and even more popular in the UK than in their home country Australia.

You know, CMT knows who was leading the voting. Ican't help but think she was invited for a reason! Yes, I agree. Fingers crossed! I hope she mentions the fact that her singing partner couldn't be there to accept as he's currently in Europe on tour with Queen.

I've never heard of "Neighbors" either....LOL. If it was on TV here....I never saw it. We have/had plenty of our own soap operas.

Maybe, if they won, they would have had Adam tape a short thank you too. He can say that he was sorry he couldn't be there but he was touring with Queen. I know...I know...wishful thinking on my part!

Would love to see them win the award!

I've never heard of "Neighbors" either....LOL. If it was on TV here....I never saw it. We have/had plenty of our own soap operas. Well Australia is still part of the Commonwealth and therefor under the rule of the Queen of Britain. So there's a connection. It was 'discovered' by the Dutch and when I read the wiki about Australia I really think the Dutch did something wrong in the past. We named Australia New Holland like we named New York New Amsterdam when we made a settlement there before the British even got there. The only thing that remained in the world though is New Zealand which is called New because we already had a Zealand in our country, but also that was colonized by the English. The Dutch were very good explorers, but failed to establish good colony's that they could protect. Tasmania is named after a Dutch explorer Abel Tasman (who also discovered New Zealand) and everywhere in the world you can see the influence of Dutch explorers. And even today you can't go to any part of the world and meet a Dutch person. If my country men in the past would have done things a bit smarter the whole world would have talked Dutch right now instead of English. Very weird to think about that.
