The Amazing Mike Change
Watch starting around 4:00 to see what happened when Adam’s mike stopped working and he needed to get a new mike. Also, after the mike change, check out the equally amazing runs at the end of WATC.

If you have not watched the videos from this concert, you should do yourself a favor and check out yesterday's thread. It was one of the best QAL concerts ever. Really.

Isle of Wight Review - the QAL Part
Sunday sees another bright start after a smattering of rain overnight, and it’s finally what the whole weekend has building up to with the festival premier of Queen with Adam Lambert (10). The biggest crowd (by quite some way) pack the main field for two hours of theatrical histrionics which is more fun than it has any right to be.
Adam addresses any naysayers head on, with a heartfelt speech and recognition that there ‘..will only ever be one Freddie…’ before asking the crowd to join him for a celebration of Mercury’s life and music. Lambert is outstanding, vocally he is perfect, personality wise he is charming, genuine and funny, and as a showman he connects with the vast crowd in a way no other performer has all weekend.
It’s a respectful set, with Freddie popping up on the big screens throughout, and Brian May and Roger Taylor have their chance to celebrate Queen’s legacy with lead vocals, extended solos and given the opportunity to bask in the well-earned adulation of the crowd.
Queen have so many hits that it’s hard to pick out highlights, but Under Pressure in tribute to David Bowie, an emotional ‘Who Wants to Live Forever’ dedicated to the victims of the Orlando shootings, the theatrical and downright fun ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’, the sea of clapping hands for ‘Radio Gaga’, ‘We Will Rock You’ and arms aloft set-closer ‘We Are The Champions’ all stake claim to being defining festival moments.
The Isle of the Wight Festival may not have the cutting edge acts, or much depth in the line-up, but it just doesn’t matter as it’s so much fun. The main thing that gets you with the festival is the atmosphere, the inclusive, good-natured welcoming and laid-back vibe that soaks into you over the course of the weekend.
Everywhere you look there is a mix of ages, whole families from babies upwards, packs of teenagers coyly meeting by the fun fair, hen and stag parties, printed t-shirt birthday party crews, LADS LADS LADS, ageing punks, sharply dressed mods, fancy dress heads, champagne quaffing partiers and everyone in-between.
It’s clear that everyone is just having a really bloody lovely time, it’s wholesome and accommodating in a way other festivals could wish to be. A flat, easy to navigate site, well organised, clean facilities, inoffensive main stage pleasers, but with surprising pockets of randomness should you wish to explore make it a very British, incredibly fun and dependable festival. Roll on next year. 8/10
