Growing up, I was always told the two taboo topics for social conversation were politics and religion. Perhaps that is why this election cycle is so contentious and fraught with passions.
That being said, I find as I grow older, er, more mature, wiser (?), I avoid reading others' opinions in the media. News reports, yes. Opinion pieces? No. I figure if I educate myself on the issues, I can form my own opinion, and I am rarely persuaded to change it by someone else expressing theirs. And the idea that because I like a certain singer, or I enjoy a certain actor in films, or a certain sports figure, that they have some mystical powers of judgment and discernment that I don't, seems absurd.
I support Adam freely expressing his ideas and opinions on his own social media. I don't have to agree with it, and I don't think he needs me to tell him how to manage his own personal expressions.

I am wondering Adam should refrane for now, talking about Politics. IT is a hotely debatble thing in your country atm. And some ppl are just way too overly sensitive. Prob HeWhoCannot ameds fault LOL. But in any case. Maybe Adam should leave it be for a while. I mean he is a Singer not a Politician. Not that I mean he should never voice his opinions, of course he should. But maybe think about when he voices his opinions. Why? What would be the worst consequence? So he pisses some people off. Idt that had ever dissuaded him from doing anything.

Perhaps they are not paying him enough for him to spend the time doing promotion? These things are usually contractual and very specifically stated in deals. Just a thought. He is a minor character in relation to the whole show. No need for him to be at all the PR events. I would expect to see him at a few closer to the actual airing. I agree -- that makes complete sense.

I see this statement often...that "the two taboo topics for social conversation were[are] politics and religion" and it always gives me a little start as in my family as I grew up, we always spoke long and loud about politics and religion as almost anything else boils down to gossip or small talk. What else could possibly be as important? Most of the BIG questions in life pretty well boil down to one of the two.. eta I am pasting the link to a really interesting article on how we gather information to feed our opinions, and on journalism's place in this. It is fairly long but very interesting. fyi www.theguardian.com/media/2016/july/12/how-technology-disrupted-the-truth

Yikes! Is it possible for someone to sign in to Pinknews using KK's name? There are only 8 posts in the history there and sign in only recently. She can have more than 8 posts alone in a H Reporter story when she is ranting about her favorite villain KA. A few of KA's fans have been really upset of late because of Adam's success and his name in the press all the time, while the winner is ignored. It has always been that way, but for some reason it is really bothersome more recently. Seems strange that KK would suddenly insult Adam so I am not convinced it is really her. I wonder if someone is pulling a fast one.

He has become a role model for many because of his integrity, so why would he not speak up in pressing times like these? Our next president, gun control, racial profiling and civil rights issues are forming a political landscape that can't easily be overlooked. Those are real issues that the US has to deal with currently and the world is watching. I applaud Adam for showing his human spirit by using his platform to speak his mind.

I agree completely. I want "just the facts, ma'am" -- I can take it from there.
