Future-pop masterpiece with outstanding vocals
Tritonal & Jenaux feat. Adam Lambert - Broken
The American producer duo Tritonal start this year very good and has made name with "This Is Love", "Rewind" and " Getaway" by many EDM-listeners. For their new single the guys got support from newcomer Jenaux in production. For the vocals, the guys have brought a real star in the studio and that is none other than Adam Lambert. After their remix of " Ghost Town " Tritonal were so impressed by his voice that they invited Lambert to produce a common track. The number titled "Broken" has come out, which was published on August 12 on Enhanced Recordings. This time Tritonal & Jenaux went very much towards Future Pop. How does that sound exactly you experience with us.
Broken - Future Pop in the style of The Chainsmokers
In recent week, The Chainsmokers and Flume with its own unique style already got great success. This style is called Future Pop and is currently hyped as much as any other genre in the EDM scene. More and more artist go in that direction, because that takes both the EDM -listeners and the mainstream audience. Now Tritonal and Jenaux also decided to go in that direction.
The track is initiated by a few typical Vocalcuts from the drop, which can be found again in the instrumental frequently. After a short time the vocals of Adam Lambert are added and you can hear that. The voice of the US-American is very distinctive and recognisable out of hundreds of voices. The first vocal parts are still accompanied by a quiet Kick and the vocals a little quiet, but then comes a strong kick to the course and the vocals get more powerful.
The chorus is again surprisingly quiet, but that's what makes the number: variety and uniqueness! The song has actually a pretty sad content because as the chorus tells it is about a broken heart. These emotions the singer brings into the chorus in a good way. The vocals go very high and become quite the earwurm because of that. Without any build-up then follows the drop. This is typical of future-pop but in this song it has it's own distinctive way.
Conclusion: The "Broken" by Tritonal and Jenaux has become an outstanding production. The Instrumental, the kicks and the drop ... it all fits together and creates a very successful number. Convincing the number gets when one pays close attention to the vocals. Adam Lambert brings again soulful but strong vocals. Despite all the highs and the sad story in the lyrics, the vocals are fun and very catchy. The drop fits great on the chorus and you just get an extremely good mood. Tritonal please continue Future Pop and Adam Lambert please continue EDM, because here is world class!
