It says: Adam Lambert, frontman of Queen, who performed here this week, did not close himself up in his hotel after the show. He showed up at a party in Tel Aviv and after a few drinks took off with a local 25 years old guy, and took him to his hotel in Herzlyia. In the picture Lambert is partying with the owners of the Lighthouse Bar, Omer Oz and Dan Naphtali. This is disgusting. Is this a tabloid? Why would you gossip about a celeb that comes to your country? The guy was 25? How do they know that? Did they ask him? Do straight celebs get stalked about a groupie that they took to their hotel? I thought that it was reported that he had dinner until 4am with the 2 waitresses? He gave his all at the show. As did the entire band. What any of them do on their off time is no ones business. It was ground breaking that Queen even made it to Israel. Let alone that Adam is gay and went to such a hostile towards gays part of the world. This is just horrendous. katykate, I am not directing this at you. I appreciate that you recapped and interpret here for us. I don't know why you think Israel is hostile towards gays. Israel is one of the most gay-friendly places. To answer your question - yes, straight celebs get exactly the same treatment. They report about celebs that took women 30 years younger to their hotel room, and each and every details they can get their hands on. The TV report was that there were 2 versions - the waitresses said they sat with Adam at the hotel until 4 am, but another source said Adam ended the night at a local guy's appartment. At any case, they didn't say anything negative about Adam.

This video includes the improv before IWIA. To me, at 0:30 it sounds middle-eastern, and at 0:48 it sounds Jewish, as some of you had already said.

Almost all his coverage in Israel was very positive. It just angered me to report about what he did privately. Yes, there are 2 versions of how he spent his night. Of course the version of him taking a 25 year old back to his room will get the most buzz. If he did take someone back, why does his age have to be stated? I really can't stand this cheap journalism. Every country does do it in some form. I don't have to like it. Just my personal beef and rant.

You can find the same attitude toward gays here at home and it's not only coming from people with olive skin color (middle east).

I also like Meat, and he was a huge star at one time. I think he was just kidding, and if he wasn't, Adam would just laugh!!

At least the US has no reports so far of throwing gay people off buildings. That was my point. I also wasn't looking so far. I was speaking about the Middle East, which is where he was. Russia is no day at the beach either for gays. Malaysia was hard line too. Singapore was also tough with that petition at New Years time.

A tweet was posted here the other day which indicated the next gig was timed for 1:40 h. If that's so, I wonder if they will tailor the setlist to mostly "upbeat" tunes like the NYE Big Ben concert? Or maybe if they leave the guitar/drum solos out, they don't have to make any other changes. What do folks think? My guess is no drum or guitar solos. They have had to shorten their set before & I think that is what they did. 1:40 is only 10 mins shorter, right? I think they will keep two short solos. Brian needs a break -- so they will do the drum battle and/or the bass solo (like they did for Summer Sonic). They have cut Brian's solo or he just played "Lost Horizon" for a few of the shorter concerts. But they will certainly cut something. For example, Summer Sonic, they dropped TSMGO.
