I believe that Brian could have been in Shanghai before -- but it would not have been much like Shanghai today. In 1997, Brian traveled to China to see a total eclipse of the sun and he traveled around China -- the eclipse was not in Shanghai so I am not sure where else he went. The visit inspired him to write a song called "China Belle" which was released in 1998 on his album "Another World." Part of the intro is a riff that he uses in his guitar solo sometimes (the riff predates the song "China Belle"). youtu.be/0X6GazCZdYgThis song was part of Brian's solo tour setlist in 1998.

A new QUEEN too good. All the best. Adam raised in modern times, it also now but too overwhelming. Miracle's Daddy so much over age. Grateful to be alive

That picture is so cute, the Japanese lady seems to be in seventh heaven with Adam! I think that is a Japanese man.

Thank you Q3, so this is going to be an Adam feast for Chinese fans, can't hardly wait! It is going to be one of the most interesting Q+AL concerts. I know some Queen fans have traveled to Shanghai but mostly this will be a local audience. I am interested to see if people know the Queen concert traditions -- like the Radio Ga Ga clapping. I expect it will be known but certainly only a few people in the audience have ever experienced it. One thing I am sure of -- there will be a lot of Adam fans there. We know he can sell out that arena without Queen. ETA: Venue will be full -- but it does not look like it will sell out. About 85% sold with most of the available seats in the upper level. They have a ticket buying map: seat.damai.cn/xuanzuo/en-US/8825900The 85% sold is a real rough estimate. I did not count. I'm playing catch up with all the Japanese shows.. work put a crimp on my concert viewing during these very early morning shows.. phew! Was Adam's TOH show sold out at this venue? There's still a few days before this show, maybe more tickets will be sold between now and the performance date..

OT but I thought Jon Bon Jovi's statements in this article about the music industry today very on target. Guess I'm pretty 'old school' loving a total album theme. twitter.com/Pressparty/status/779732044834365441Jon Bon Jovi says "all kids care about is producing a song" that will be a hitMusician Jon Bon Jovi has revealed that he worries about the modern music industry because artists nowadays only seem to be concerned with having a huge hit single rather than a series of strong, successful full-length records. The rocker told London's Evening Standard newspaper that this generation doesn't seem to prioritise building foundations for longevity and instead seems fixated on immediacy and making the next hit single, which is a mentality he can't get on board with: "We live now in an era of all kids care about is producing a song. They’re not thinking about an album. To me it was always about the record." Jon Bon Jovi went onto add that creating an album is important whether this new wave of bands and artists value having a body of work on not: "It’s just not the way I think. An album is a moment in time. I remember that conversation happening 15 years ago with the advent of the iPod, ‘Now I just have to record three or four songs and then I can go back on tour’. Well that’s not the generation I grew up in. An album is important. It’s not just worrying about singles on the radio to sell pop songs."As previously reported, the "It's My Life" stars will receive the 2016 Legend of Live by Billboard at the 13th annual Billboard Touring Conference & Awards on November 9. The band are currently gearing up to release their highly anticipated new album, entitled This House is Not For Sale, on October 21.
