Lol this is a video from last year from a Dutch comic duo playing some English tourists in Amsterdam. The nice thing is they used Ghost Town through the entire video! www.youtube.com/watch?v=_thsQrHBJrEThanks for posting this Skaschep. I visited Amsterdam during my educational exchange in Netherlands (looong time ago :D) and I loved the city.

I know!!! And sadly I've done almost nothing else for the last couple of hours..... Wow! He really showed them how it's done - and I've discovered that the more you watch, the cuter the pjs become....who knew...

Ok, admit, who else has watched that IWTBF snippet a couple, maybe a few dozen times???
He's so adorable, and I just keep falling in love with this guy and his amazing voice over and over again. What an amazing gig for him to get...wonder if they asked him, or if one of his people got it for him? And I love when people see him on TV and go to research him..falling down that rabbit hole, as I did years ago. Only now, there is soooo much more to find..you could be glued to your computer for days and weeks. Oh wait, I still am.
Love that olive green jacket above, gorgeous !

Just tossing this in here: An somewhat long article about the aging voice. A lot of interesting technical details that we are already familiar with thanks to our very own voice expert, cassie, but an interesting read nonetheless. What Really Happens When a Singing Voice Gets OldBy Justin Davidson www.vulture.com/2016/10/mysteries-of-the-aging-voice.html

What an amazing gig for him to get...wonder if they asked him, or if one of his people got it for him? Only now, there is soooo much more to find..you could be glued to your computer for days and weeks. Oh wait, I still am. Love that olive green jacket above, gorgeous ! Um, I MIGHT have watched it more than once. What a delight. First, he opens his mouth and starts singing and it is as if the broadcast went from mono to surround sound. The quality of his tone, its clarity, ring and presence jumps out at you, particularly after hearing a bunch of other singers. It is always remarkable, but in this context, it stands out like a beacon. Secondly, he does this with no warm up or prep. If you are not a singer, you might not appreciate what that means. If you play guitar or piano, and someone spontaneously asks you to play something, you don't need prep. The piano or guitar is ready to go, and your fingers don't need to warm up. But the voice is another matter. Like a runner should warm up before a race, a singer has muscles that need to be ready for use. Also, the resonance chambers in your head need to have the "cobwebs" shaken out. The vocal cords need to be clear of mucus and be flexible. A singer knows it is risky to try a challenging range or power without the proper prep. Thirdly, Adam likes his microphone set in very specific ways to get the right quality of tone, reverb, space and ping. We all know how meticulous he is about his mic. For this impromptu singing, he had no opportunity to soundcheck it or tweak it. I also imagine that Guy and Iggy and the host have never heard Adam sing full out, live. Just that voice. I am sure they have heard his recordings, but we all know how much more impressive it is live. I bet they were blown away to experience that voice in that setting. I don't think it is an exaggeration to say they may have realized they have actually been, unknowingly, in the presence of greatness all this time. I imagine their inner monologue being something like, "OH! THAT! WOW! I had no idea. DAMN!!!" Such fun to see and hear.
