I know I'm repeating myself, but this article headline should be splattered across every US media outlet in existence. The US has barely seen the tip of the iceberg with Adam. Sure, he's done some talk shows gigs in the US, but not nearly as many as he's done overseas. It's his personality that really grabs people, along with his looks, TBH. But he is proving night after night on the XF that he is a dream on TV. I can imagine him doing all kinds of TV. Sitcoms, dramas, SNL type shows, variety, talk shows, you name it . He's a natural. He has to be discovered here, SOON!

Some nice berting on this article: Adam Lambert is in the Meat Loaf role, which consisted of just one song (“Hot Patootie”). But if that one song was enough to make Mr. Loaf a star, maybe it’s enough for the celebrated Idol alumnus. (Or maybe not, since, unlike the definitely deceased Meat of the mid-‘70s, Lambert gets a post-death curtain call in this one to duet on the closing reprise of “Science Fiction Double Feature.”)
“Hot Patootie” is “one of the most anticipated songs, obviously, behind ‘Time Warp’ and maybe ‘Sweet Transvestite,’” Adler says. “And Meat Loaf’s performance was so legendary, and a moment in an actual moment. But Lambert came in and killed it. He’s a vocal acrobat. He’s singing with Queen on a daily basis, so he’s got the highest level of rock ‘n’ roll singer chops going right now. He came in and just devoured that song. The talent is ingrained in him — he doesn’t have to warm up, he doesn’t have to work. He opens his mouth and it comes out like that.”Such great words about Adam. This writer really gets it. I pray pray pray that RHPS gives Adam some buzz in the media and opens and door or two IN THE US. He is in a class of his own.

I guess it is a ll a matter of interpretation.... and taste. I interpreted the line as meaning that Adam goes thru boyfriends in quick succession. Don't know why the writers would think that, or if they were just looking for a gag line. But, it says to me that the writers think Adam is highly recognizable to the audience as are his social appearances and celebrity status. It would not be a "funny" line of the audience heard it and said, "Who is Adam Lambert? I don't get it." By joking about his love life, they are implying that Adam is a highly recognizable figure in our culture. IMHO. I totally agree. As I mentioned earlier this show always references pop culture. They actually reference all things and people that are current. Almost every episode does. I interpret it as he is a well known gay man popular enough to use in this reference and to imply most people know who Adam is and would get the humour. Nothing derogitory. They could have used any well known gay man in this reference. It wasn't meant as Adam Lambert is not popular anymore, it referenced they hope their gays last as long as Adam Lambert's boyfriends do. Popular enough to reference Adam is all good. As most things, this is open to interpretation. I first thought that that it meant they hope their gays last as long as Adam Lambert's encounters because Adam is so gorgeous his partners would be spent pretty quick. Well, I know I would be. Lol Well, I guess I do feel a little better now. At least the comment does imply that viewers actually know who Adam is. My blood pressure has gone down a little. Thanks!
