I am losing respect for Guy with all this Iggy trashing.
Funny, I was thinking the same thing. No need to trash IGGY! It is what it is. Maybe she didn't behave the way Guy thought she should. Even Adam thought so but to blame her for the ratings is ridiculous! I thought he was classier than that! I was even becoming a fan. His music is good but NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry I think its ridiclous to start turning on the guy, because he happened to be honest. Good on him, refreshing to see someone tell it like it is. IT is not like he said anyything that Adam did not say, whats the difference? We may have moved on. Adam may have moved on. But guy has been part of the franchise for a while, so he was just really discussing it's future.

You have a point 3kul, but the show is over, move on! The show will be back or it won't. Don't think you can lay that at Iggy's feet, especially after what you said about last years judges!!

I don't think the lack of chemistry between the judges has anything to do with the ratings. No star they brought onto the show would of bumped ratings. I remember US XF. Demi Lovato did nothing to save the ratings, and it got cancelled. I thought the judging panel was pretty decent. Just like I thought this one was. I actually beleive last years judging panel was a nail in the coffin. Most here were not watching last season. It was one of the worst judging panels I have seen from a singing show. It was clear disdain between the judges. Chris Issack was awful, and constantly bullied James Blunt. I am not joking lol. He told him to shut the F up one time. So I think this judging panel was far better. But ratings dropped last season. And as the climate changes constantly, I beleive. They never recovered. Adam was a breath of fresh air, and prob the breakoutstar of the show. Like he was on idol in 2009. But Xfactor is an old show. So these things happen. I/ agree with Guy though, Xfactor and singing shows in general need to evolve. Maybe they have just had their time. Their are tons of avenues people can become recording artists now. And I wouldent lose respect for Guy for dissing Iggy. He was just being honest, most likely his words were sensationlized. But he is right Iggy did not look invested most of the time. I think she was emotionally attached to Isaiah in the finalie, which I thought was geniuine. But overall I just think she did it to repair her fledging image. And when her contestants left, I think she just lost interest.
Also I think Iggy became an easy target when, with her first interview, she flatly stated that she did not consider Australia her home. I am sure it is true and it is fine, but not very diplomatic when you are returning to your birth country to host a show.
Bottom line, the XF, like many singing competition shows, has run its course. Some are hanging on, but I think their days are numbered. Even The Voice in the US may be gone before long. They don't seem to produce stars anymore. Adam was the "star" of XF AU, IMO. He came out of it with positive feedback from the other judges and from the viewers. He actually took the job seriously and his charm and personality won over everyone. Too bad the show is on its last legs and probably won't be back. But Adam gained from it. Hope it opens other doors for him.
As for Isaiah, I think he has a hard road ahead. The viewing audience who saw him perform was relatively small. People were watching other shows and didn't become invested in him. Just like Idol in its last few years, there was some fine talent there, but too few viewers to establish a strong, loyal following. Adam was very lucky to be on Idol when it still had decent ratings. Even he was on after its peak. The euphoria for Isaiah for winning the XF will wear off. I know he's enjoying a bubble of success right out of the show. But many winners get that same boost, only to see it fade. Isaiah is talented and cute as a button, but so have many winners who had varying degrees of success. I hate to sound negative, and I wish Isaiah all the best, but we'll see where he is in a year or two. Like Adam he may be one of the lucky ones.
