Game shows: the price's right Jeopardy Family Feud etc.. etc.. etc.. Idol, XFactor, The voice are not game shows. They don't call them game anywhere. They do call these kind of shows as "Talent" shows or Singing competitions. It involves talent. If you throw into google..."game shows American Idol" a wikipedia page comes up called "List Of American Game Shows" at about the third link to click. Scroll down to Reality Television. Not only is American Idol listed as a game show, so is The Voice and X Factor. By my saying that Idol is a game show is not saying anything bad about Adam. As I have said, I adore him. His talent and voice is beyond compare. Even Adam knew the game they played. He said that they were making "good television" by the people that the producers selected as contestants. They needed different personalities to flesh out a long 4 month run of the show. They had to ensure that no one would be bored and click out to another station. Regardless of any Wikipedia which anyone can edit, I don't think the general public refers to these as game shows. Other than Eber, I haven't heard of anyone call it that. I do hear reality show, TV talent show, reality competition quite often however.

Hey I'll take Adam singing live anytime anywhere anyhow. He's a great duet partner and things like this keep him in the news cycle. Don't care if it's the howdy doody hour, a reality tv show, a game show whatever. Singers sing. Adam is a singer.

However there are plenty of links there that say AI is a game show. Eber and I cannot be the only ones. lol I don't really care if Adam came to us singing on The Price Is Right or Jeopardy. Just very happy that he is here and I get to hear his voice. Game show, talent show, whatever you call it. Grateful that he auditioned.

Love it when Adam gets to perform anywhere in the world with his originals, a cover or Queen. It is never a bad thing to be in demand in any manner. There are few Idols who still are. He has nothing new to promote right now besides this is Saara's chance to shine. She said she wanted to do a big theatrical number with him so I would be good with, yes, Queen. He is the frontman so who would be surprised if that were her choice? WWTLF or TSMGO would be my choices. When they did WWTLF at Iheart, man that was something. He was gorgeous, sexy and his voice had everyone talking. No dancers or lip syncing needed to make everyone take notice. It was the same at the EMA's. He was all the rage. I think some of Adam's own ballads would be just as powerful except most have not heard them because they were never released as singles. He has had some really strong ones on his albums and I would love for people to get to hear him sing them but that will not happen on Saara's moment. If he does it, I will be happy with whatever they decide. It would be an honor and not an insult if he were asked, imo. It is a talent show. It is like the one he got his start on and like the one where he was just a mentor/judge and where he guided a young man to victory. Queen was exactly what I was thinking too. It would be a organic match on many levels. Maybe Adam could even revisit those lyrics of TSMGO, should that be happening, lol. I love this song, and message wise, I think this would be the better song for the finale of a talent show. Saara's show will go on...so my bet is on that one. I think the times where going on a reality TV show was seen as negative, are over. The rocker generation that was driving that narrative in the past has to contend with the fact that the music of their generation will soon be heard as cover only in any live setting anywhere, and so this whole topic has run its course, imo. There will always be a few people looking down on something, some look down on all pop music all together, some look down on award shows, some on musicals and some on TV musical drama ala Glee. Can't please everyone. Adam will always be associated as coming from such a show, but he has by now proven himself beyond these shows, and that is important. Nobody can take it away from him that he has been widely accepted and praised in the holy grail of Queen circles. I think he is past all those discussions at this point. And his career as pop star is well established too. somehow, it is the world-wide break-through with an own song that has so far eluded Adam for various reasons. I am always hoping for the big ballad for Adam, because I don't think that one of the dance songs is going to deliver that moment for him. It needs to be something big. Maybe a grand ballad about being brave, about not being afraid would be in order in today's time and could meet the Zeitgeist of today, allowing him to push beyond the circles that are presently giving him attention. I think that would be a great topic for him. But Adam has always followed his own beat, and so we will just have to wait what he comes up with. Meanwhile, any exposure to an audience, any refresher in 'Adam is the voice of a generation', is good in my book. And I agree...this better happen now.....lol....

I'll just let this little piece of brilliance hang out here. It speaks for itself.
.
Anyone else notice that Sia songs seem to all over the place on reality shows? Heard Titanium a lot, Elastic Heart, Chandelier and I'm Alive (sung by 3 different reality show contestants). And she has another top 20 hit on US pop radio. I guess that goes against "they only play 20 somethings on radio" since she is 40. Did anyone also notice that Adam was into her before she got really famous? The first time I ever heard of her was through Adam. Same thing with Adele. He was into her before she blew up.

I would love Adam to do a big ballad with Saara. Heck would love him to release a big ballad on his next album. On reality shows. Adams Origins are singing show. But he is now an artist in gis own right. I think it's important ppl are always reminded where he came from. And how he's just another artist in his own right performing on a singing show. If this happens I think it's another full circle moment. A contest ever on the final of XF U.K. Singing with a Star that happened to make his name on a show too. How rare is that? Who would of known one Word Mama would change everything.

I would love for Adam to release a big ballad also. He gets so much attention and many accolades when he sings one by others so why not his own? Coming from a singing reality show is a fact but he has nothing to prove anymore because he is not one of the ones who faded into the forgotten world of non-success or non-interest. Very little stigma for him because he is a worldwide success story with a diverse career. Would hate to see him get saddled with coming from a game show tho after all he has accomplished. What would be the point of that and how could it be beneficial to him to push that narrative?

The producers work really hard to make sure that the US "Quiz Show" laws do not apply to reality TV programs including the vocal competitions -- Idol, XFactor and The Voice. So they may be classified as game shows by some, but not under US law.

I think it would be fine if Adam was on XFactor UK final but I also don't think it would be a big loss to his career if he wasn't on the program.
I hope we get a performance and I don't see any strong negatives about it. Being on reality TV hasn't hurt Adam Levin, for example.
