So... Adam's idea of a holiday Spend time with family and friends, recreating pictures, eating and having fun Party a bit Reaffirm ties with former collaborators (Tove Lo) Rack up almost 40k views on a silly IG video Make an appearance in the public of a big show and get photographed with the right people (generating some publicity) Do a little behind the scenes coaching for former protegees (well, at least, with one that we know of) Prepare for a big duet on the X Factor final (and possibly some other UK shows) Hmm... There have been holiday weeks in which I have accomplished less. And then he is probably doing things that we know nothing about (yet) too.

Is Adam Lambert due to perform at the X Factor final? www.thegayuk.com/is-adam-lambert-due-to-perform-at-the-x-factor-final/We’re hearing reports that American Idol legend Adam Lambert could be performing on the final of X Factor UK… We’re very very excited. Apparently, Adam Lambert could be joining Saara Aalto on stage this coming weekend for the now famous “duets” part of the final. Adam is just returning from a very successful stint as a judge on the Austrailian version of X Factor. However, producers for the UK version of the show are remaining tight-lipped about the rumours. Saara Aalto has become firm favourite to win the competition despite an incredibly rocky start to the competition. She was a wildcard entry for her mentor, Sharon Osborne, and for the first few weeks was forced to sing for her position in the competition after failing to get the voting public behind her. However, it’s all change as she’s become one of the most talked about singers this season – especially with the news that she’s now engaged to be married to her girlfriend, Meri. If Adam Lambert joins the finalists this Saturday he would join a handful of stars who have graced the X Factor stage for the usually very successful duets part of the final. Past megastars who have joined contestants include Rihanna who sang with Matt Cardle and Beyoncé who sang with Alexandra Burke, both finalists became the winners of the competition. Adam Lambert rose to fame during the 2009 series of American Idol, where he placed runner-up. He’s gone on to release three albums and sold millions of records around the globe. Earlier this year he celebrated his success on Spotify after clocking up over 100,000,000 streams of his music.

cassie, curious if you think this song would be a good showcase/fit for Adam's voice here it is liveand one I would personally love to hear him sing There is not much that doesn't fit Adam's voice, in my opinion. With his multi-octave range, and with his control and power, there are not many songs that would be too "big" for him or have too wide a range. One of his great talents is interpreting a song and imbuing it with piercing emotion, and these songs would work well for that talent. What type of song would NOT fit Adam's voice? A song sung by a deep baritone or bass that needs that low, rumbling, dark sound and wouldn't work if transposed to a higher key. A heavy metal or punk song or whatever the genre is called, but one that needs a voice to be screaming and raw and raspy. Certain operatic numbers that require a male singer with a dark, heavy, older sounding voice. Other than that, I think Adam could perform most anything. There are many songs that would be a waste of his voice.... not requiring the tone, refinement, range, control and prowess he can bring. Or not having any emotional depth to plumb. But, he is one of those rare singers who can sing across genres and tackle a huge repertoire of songs with apparent ease.

Totally using his lower range. I'm thinking of what he did before he got into "Crazy little thing called love" at the Rock in Rio with Queen last year. I actually think he could do the "death-metal"-screaming perfectly! See his recent instagram video *lol*...or the Album "Beg for mercy" but you're right...that I think is one of the thing that sets him apart from other great, powerful voices with a lot of range...his versatility.

This song is not really metal or punk but yup, very versatile! Also, for the people who might have missed it, or who are new here: there is a thread called Holy sh!t!, that's Adam? under the vocal masterclass section and it is the most awesome thing ever. I strongly recommend finding it if you haven't seen it before, or revisiting it if you have.

Y'all are right. Adam CAN do the death-metal scream. But HE SHOULDN'T. EVER. NEVER.
It would quickly damage those vocal cords and destroy that beautiful voice.
He has sung some metal-type songs, but he has not strained his voice or roughened it to do so. I think he still sounds great doing it, but some metal enthusiasts say it is not authentic; it is too refined and polished.

X Factor duets revealed? The Weeknd, James Arthur and Adam Lambert lined up for final www.telegraph.co.uk/tv/2016/12/07/x-factor-duets-revealed-weeknd-james-arthur-adam-lambert-lined/The big-name stars performing with this year's X Factor finalists have reportedly been revealed ahead of Saturday's live show. Finnish sensation and new favourite-to-win Saara Aalto will be teamed with Queen collaborator and former American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert, according to the Mirror Online, while 5 After Midnight will perform with The Weeknd (also known as singer-songwriter Abel Tesfaye)... But the question of exactly who will take to the stage alongside the third finalist, Matt Terry, remains a tantalising, soul-consuming mystery. Previous reports hinted that 2012 X Factor winner James Arthur had been lined up for a performance in the final: originally as a duet partner for Emily Middlemas, and then as a possible match for Terry... more www.telegraph.co.uk/tv/2016/12/07/x-factor-duets-revealed-weeknd-james-arthur-adam-lambert-lined/
