Wonder if he misunderstands what her 21 means? Or if he wants someone to buy the shoes for him so he is giving his size?! LOL!! Oh course he knows it is a adate and not his shoe size. Pretty sure he can read and it is right there in the caption and the hashtags. He follows CS and possibly saw the crap she was getting about the earlier drawing. His comment is clearly a joke. His Lusting over the Helmut Lang boot is very real though.

I have never heard of it (Netherlands). Had to google the reference between Jews and the devil to be honest. I bet Sharka didn't mean it offensive either. I have to admit that I have heard of this before but it goes way back to when I was a little girl. I don't think many people are aware nowadays! Apparently it all start with a mistranslation of Exodus 34:29......"and Moses didn't know that his face shone when he (God) spoke with him". The Hebrew word for the verb "shone" is "karan" and is phonetically "keren" which can mean horn. The error was compounded when Michelangelo's sculpture of Moses portrays him with two horns. I took this from the website "Ask the Rabbi". So that's how this got started, one mistake after another! Right now all rights of minorities are in jeopardy. stand up. for the ideals that truly make America great, and for the basic decency and integrity entitled to every American, no matter their heritage or nationality. A little political I know but Adam deserves all rights and respect as do all. I stood up today and it felt so good. I usually would not have. A gun toting silly man said he was carrying to protect himself from muslim terrorist. When asked why, he said he saw it on Fox and the threat was historic and went all the way back to the crusades. I don't think he believed me when I told him that christians started that but also told him some places where he could get the correct info. I tried my very best not to call to call him stupid. The kicker? I live in a town of 5k, mostly mormon.

I think I'd be very careful trying to point out any kind of political reality to a devotee of Faux-FOX news - especially one so openly "toting" a gun to protect himself from muslims. I'd worry he could easily come unhinged. YIKES!!!

Who knows, maybe he will check out one of the sites and even if he doesn't, maybe someone else who heard will. I think your assessment of the realistic danger of his gun was accurate and you didn't let intimidation stand in your way.

I hope that his interest was sparked and he checks out the places that you advised him on. Back to Adam...he refuses to live in fear. You were also fearless like him. Bravo!

He was the clerk at the local Ace Hardware. Arizona is a weird state. I'm in New Jersey. My son is in Coast Guard Reserve in Port Security, so when he is on duty, he carries a weapon. But he has no desire to have any gun of his own, even for recreational target-shooting. Granted, New Jersey does not have carry permits, except for exceptional circumstances. It always gives me pause when traveling to other states, to spot the warnings on hotels, etc. that weapons are not permitted. Adam link - SemiPrecious Weapons?

Just a comment on the "Adam with horns" illustration. I am certain that Sharka had no idea about "Jews have horns" hate myth. Most people who are under 60 years old probably have no idea about it at all. *** I think it is a good thing that many people did not know what the reference meant. Hopefully the my with finally die -- but it has been around for centuries. The "Jews have horns" derives from a mistranslation of Exodus 34:29—“…and Moses didn’t know that his face shone when He [God] spoke with him.” The Hebrew word for the verb “shone” is “karan” and is phonetically close to the word “keren,” which can mean horn. The error was made famous by Michelangelo's sculpture of Moses, which portrayed him with two horns.
