Ha! Count me as one who never listens to see if Adam is flat or sharp or whatever. I already know I don't have the ability to discriminate on that level. I only know if I enjoyed an overall performance or not and that is good enough for me. Some people have the ability to do that but I think it would take away my enjoyment if I tried to listen to his performances or anyone's that way. I think someone said it was hard for them not to notice any imperfection. That would get on my last nerve, lol. I do know what sounds good to me and what is disappointing tho even without that knowledge. There have been a few top selling artists with hit songs that I loved. I was floored when I heard them sing live because they were not good. Could not tell you what was wrong technically but I knew it was much less than I expected. Thankfully I have Adam to look forward to for great performances.

For those interested in Isaiah's progress: It's Gotta Be You got added to more playlists and is now close to making it into the top 200 worldwide. #NP #ItsGottaBeYou by @isaiahfirebrace Now 3,382,166 streams on @spotify (+332,144)! ♫ spoti.fi/2ghkQHfToday's charts: #ItsGottaBeYou by @isaiahfirebrace is going Viral on @spotify! Chart updates for January 2, 2017: charted in 17 countries, viral in 10! 👍 As I said in the thread US Thanksgiving day ... I wonder whom Isaiah has to thank?!!?!! Glamberts are sooooo....helpful No doubt in my mind that Adam as his mentor has parplayed into Isaiah's streaming success outside Australia.... The streams within Australia could use a boost. Wow! At this rate, Isaiah will stream better than Adam ever did. I hope Isaiah appreciates (and I think he does) the value of his having Adam as his mentor. I believe that these streaming numbers worldwide are due in part to his "Adam Connection." Adam's fans love what Adam loves, or they're at least willing to give it a try. And Isaiah is very talented. Not taking that away from him.

I always thought this fan video encapsulated some of the spirit of the FYE tour! lol I thought the song used was a clever choice. As Adam says in the last frame -- he was inspired! However, I'm also glad he moved on. Variety is the spice of life! www.youtube.com/watch?v=T78Bk6YaaXg Those were the days.

But production wise I prefer the Toh tour.

Thankfully I have Adam to look forward to for great performances. I do not TRY to listen to Adam or anyone to see if he is flat or sharp. Unless specifically asked to analyze someone's voice or performance, I am not listening to find fault or technique. I listen to enjoy, to be moved, to be transported. But, when it comes to pitch, I cannot turn off my pitch perception. I cannot unhear what I hear. As an analogy, I love chocolate. But I don't like coffee flavoring at all. If someone gives me a box of gourmet chocolates with mocha filling, they may tell me, "Oh, you can't really taste the coffee. It tastes like toffee. It's delicious." Yeah, NO. As much as I want a piece of luxurious, decadent chocolate, when I bite into it, the bitter taste of coffee ruins the experience. I cannot ignore what my taste buds are telling me. On the test I posted, I heard pitch differences smaller than could be discerned by 99.1% of people. Unfortunately, that means I hear minute variations in pitch from Adam or any singer or instrumentalist. And those variations, if they are frequent or repeated, are jarring and unpleasant, and mar my enjoyment of the performance. That is one reason I so enjoy listening to Adam. He has the control , the technique, and the ear to sing on pitch 99.9+% of the time. I can relax into the performance, not worrying that I will be startled out of the mood by bum notes. I don't mean to brag or to advance myself for having a special gift or talent. And, yes, it can be a curse at times when I am uncomfortable listening to a concert that others thoroughly enjoy. I am so lucky that Adam has the wonderful tone, the remarkable range, the musicality, the showmanship, the great looks and moves, AND sings on pitch consistently and reliably.

I never skipped "Fever" as I was always "curious" to see how far Adam would take his interpretation - admittedly I found it quite sexy at times, but I am a straight female - however, I believe that the "Fever" scenario lost him more fans than he gained. Similar to the AMAs. I overheard comments like, "he needs to decide if he wants to be a niche artist like Billy Idol or if he wants to be taken seriously as a mainstream artist". Gotta admit, I thought the Fever kiss was sexy and fun. I loved waiting to see how far he'd go with it. Some of those smooches were more "intense" than others. Amsterdam was, well....... And I do agree that Adam might have done it to stick it to the AMAs. But it's all history now. Adam has moved on. Adam is as sexy as ever, but those GNT days showed him in all this sweaty, sexy glory.

Not what I was saying Cassie. Did not say others listen to see if Adam was sharp only that I did not. Others seem to have the ability to hear these things anyway without trying and I was glad I could not. Just a preference for me cause I think it would take away some of my enjoyment.
