In all the consternation about lipstick did no one notice he shaved or at least buzzed his stubble... from shiny pink suits to pouty red lips, he's having fun playing for sure. Oh I noticed but did not want to say anything for fear of hexing the move...I LOVE IT

I've seen Adam wearing this much lipstick when he's been in drag but isn't this the brightest he's ever worn it when not in costume? But he was in costume. Had everything except the z painted on. They were all dressed as young Bowie. Save

I see these newest pics have purged his IG follower numbers again. Not quite the 3K that fucked off after the NYE pics, but the comments on these last pics make it clear some just aren't meant to be part of his fandom. Their loss. I was initially unsure about the intent(Or not) of his latest run of photos on IG, but it now seems he just might be preparing fandom for a trip back to a more androgynous era. These pics could have remained on Snapchat where they originated and his IG followers would have been none the wiser. He has made a concious decision to post them to IG whatever the reason. I welcome change and as an OG fan, know this is a huge part of who he is. Once again I will quote him.... " There's no comfort in comfort, I need the edge" The roller coaster is still in operation, and I'll ride it until the amusement park is closed. Don't know who the fans are dropping off or making negative comments. Adam is allowed to be and represent whatever he wants. He is having fun. But if he gained a lot more straight male fans thru XFAU or fronting Queen it would make sense that they would not be interested in pictures of Adam posing with drag Queens and gay men. They should just drop out tho (if they want to) without negative comments. Maybe Adam does not need or really want them. I think the reason Freddie had a ton of straight male fans was because of his mystique. There was not a lot of visual evidence tho I believe most knew. They could follow and support Freddie openly while pretending it was not what it was. With Adam there is no pretense. I don't think Adam cares about their support if they cannot accept him completely. Whatever his plans I really hope his career moves forward and not back with this era. He has come a long way so hopefully he will continue to reach new heights. He is the best so I am wishing for the best for him.

It makes you wonder why so much fuss has been made over the years about Adam and the make-up, doesn't it? For the first couple of years it was the main focus of a goodly percentage of interviews and did not really stop until he did. I suspect the combination of wearing it off stage as well as on, with the gay was the issue. [And many of the shown examples were either/and/or European or wearing this in the pre-aids religious revolution era (60's thru to mid eighties).] ...and when he stoped wearing it to the extend he used to during FYE...everyone asked, where it had gone...so still talking about it^^

I guess I don't see a revisiting of androgyny as a step backwards career wise. It has been and likely will continue to be a part of who he is. Perhaps the deaths of Bowie, Prince and George Michael have inspired him. IMO everything about him screams 'stand out' and not.... 'blend in'. YMMV

YMMV geezelouise gosh you took the words right out of my mouth. Adam may take on the crown for the others who died.. Also with a more conservative administration coming into power.. There will be plenty of opportunity for Adam to RESIST in his own way.America has never been very open to gay or sexually androgynous singers ,so I think Adam will mix it up Chamelon that he is. .. He seems to dislike boxes of any kind and he loves surprises ,so IMHO just when we get ready to define him.. oops he'll change

To be fair, back in Freddie's day, there was no Internet, per se, and no Facebook, Twitter, Instagram. If you were a music fan, you could pick up your weekly copy of New Musical Express at the news stand. Freddie's more openly gay persona didn't appear until well after Queen were established as a musical force. Adam is a chameleon and he dies study how he wants to present himself. I find him fascinating.
