I can see how much Adam was influenced by him. When Adam sang Change Is Gonna Come at the Zodiac show all those many years ago, he had short spiky blue hair, as Bowie was doing orange in this pic. Adam also made up his whole forehead in purple. Where as Bowie just did the sun colors on his forehead. IMO, the influence was so strong. Adam did say that Bowie was the first one that made him realize and understand that a male can present himself how ever he wanted. I still smh that Gaga did the Bowie tribute. Adam was the more perfect choice. I would have loved to see Adam rock a Bowie outfit just like this one at the tribute. It would have been ground breaking for me, and I'm sure many others would have "got it" too. Sorry for the ramble. lol I am bored at work, have the nasty flu bug and this snow can just fuck off.

I was wondering about it too @pattihum . It seems Glamberts are still good at these polls. I like it. The radio station ones are the ones i still participate in! I think it's a good think the radio stations know Adam still has his devoted fans.

Gaga did the Bowie tribute. Through connections. She's also obvioisiey a big name. A lot of product placement too. I would love Adam do the GM tribute at the Grammys. Even if she shares the stage. No issue if he did a multi act tribute. That would be fine. What a opportunity to perform on live tv to a huge tv audience. Adam did a Bowie tribute at the Clive Davis Pre Grammy Party. Brian and Riger have connections most likely.

Because it's sloooowwww - For several years something has been lurking in the back of my brain - a book I read that now reminds me of Adam. A couple of weeks ago I picked up Good Omens by Gaiman and Pratchett, and there it was. The book came out in 1990 - blurb on my edition notes it is about the end of the world according to the prophecies of Agnes Nutter. Takes place in England. It's a very funny story.
Listed in the Dramatis Personae (angels, demons, humans and others) is "Crowley (An Angel who did not so much Fall as Saunter Vaguely Downwards)".
When he first appears in the story, his description is as follows:
"Crowley was currently doing 110 mph somewhere east of Slough. Nothing about him looked particularly demonic, at least by classical standards. No horns, no wings. Admittedly he was listening to a Best of Queen tape, but no conclusions should be drawn from this because all tapes left in a car for more than a fortnight metamorphose into Best of Queen albums. No particularly demonic thoughts were going through his head. In fact, he was currently wondering vaguely who Moey and Chandon were. Crowley had dark hair and good cheekbones and he was wearing snakeskin shoes, and he could do really weird things with his tongue. And whenever he forgot himself, he had a tendency to hiss. He also didn't blink much. The car he was driving was a 1926 black Bentley, one owner from new, and that owner had been Crowley. He'd looked after it."
Anyway, my thought for the day. I'm home on a rainy day with bronchitis, reading.
I can well see how you thought of Adam - almost a premonition of him by these writers.....love the Queen, snakeskin shoes references....and the Bentley! Obviously a flight of fancy because no one can do 110 mph east of Slough - because east of Slough runs pretty much into London!..,.. Hope you feel better soon.

I expect that Elton John is #1 on the Grammy GM Tribute list.

Bowie was SO right. He just had an instinct for the future and how the internet would affect every moment of our lives, for good and for ill.
