I marched in San Francisco yesterday in support of human rights, our planet, and equality for all. It was a peaceful and highly diverse crowd of over 100,000 people across all ages and genders. What an inspiring day it was!!! ...the heavy rain felt cleansing to me. Not just the US. I marched with around 400 women [on small island with 10,000 pop] and we had a large march in Victoria [half hour ferry away] and Vancouver [2 hour ferry] so pretty good. It was really nice to march in silence after the cacophony of hate lately. Fantastic to hear that!!!

What concert was this Queen photo taken at? This is from 1986 at Knebworth Park. Such a cool pic, right? Happy that Brian got a chuckle from it. So did I.

Sizzling63 - so glad you could make to SF for the Women's March on Jan 21 - and also to all Atopers who participated in this collective event wherever you were that day. I have friends and acquaintances (both men & women) who participated in San Jose, Santa Cruz, and Oakland, and I have a niece in Washington DC who was there. Watching all of this, I feel and I hope "A Change Is Gonna Come". The day after the election in November, I met with a friend who is an Iranian Muslim and I asked him, "What do we do now?", and he said, "Stay close to your family, stay close to your principles, and just know that love will always overcome hate."

Total donations to WMHRG are $2,435 with contributions from all over the world and we are now over $3,000 in total donations to RESCUE GROUPS with contributions in Mexico, Europe, New Jersey, Texas, Ohio, California and 6 other starts in addition to WMHRG.
ETA: Does anyone here post on AO.com? Or know anyone who is well connected there? I would like to post this there but really am clueless about AO.com. If someone could post it over there -- here's all the info tl.gd/n_1spi5l6 Thanks in advance.
I was a long-time member on AO. Posted a lot. Then something glitched on my sign-in and it wouldn't let me post anymore. Tried everything. Asked for help. No luck. It's a good site. Good luck. BTW, I am astounded at the donations we are sending to WMHRG! They must be stunned! I hope Adam knows that he is the reason for the donations. WMHRG is surprised by the donation and very pleased. They are also pleased that this has spread to other rescue group donations. And Adam will learn about it EVENTUALLY, but hopefully not until his birthday! Then I will make certain he knows. But he will probably find out before then -- hard to keep something like this sekret!

It's their last tour with Freddie and they couldn't booked Wembley for the third night so they got Knebworth Park and it's sold out within 2 hours to 120,000 fans.

Not to start any form of political discussion -- just to prove you can make almost any message with photos -- Obama drew an estimated 1.8 million people to the National Mall for his 2009 inauguration. It is the US Record. There were about 1 million at his 2013 inauguration. Lyndon Johnson is the only other president who had more than 1 million -- he had 1.2 million in 1965. Queen has never come close -- but the Women's March did.

Truth! Great to know that you have several people in your circles who marched yesterday. I really feel this collective consciousness.
