The Bay Area Reporter (this is the San Francisco Bay Area)The Arnold slams The Donald www.ebar.com/arts/art_article.php?sec=television&article=270QAL bits.. Enter James Corden to cheer us. Not for the first time, Corden's embrace of all things gay and beautiful saved us. On his Feb. 3 show, mere hours after the Conway debacle, there he was in a sing-off with Queen and gay frontman and American Idol winner Adam Lambert. Run, don't walk, to watch this in its full 15-minute unexpurgated glory on CBS.com or YouTube. It is fabulous. The Feb. 3 sing-off with Adam Lambert, judged by Queen's original band members Brian May and Roger Taylor, was priceless. Lambert was channeling not-so-much Freddie Mercury but George Michael in his sexiest heyday. Corden, who won a Tony Award in 2012, is a good singer, but Lambert is superb. He hits all the notes in this terrific medley of some of Queen's best. Swoon-worthy.

The Live Nation pre-sale for Houston started this morning. I was just now able to pull up a single seat in Section 119, row 6, seat 7 which is better than the seats I could pull up this morning.
This pre-sale ends in 20 min at 10 pm cst.

SOCIALITE LIFE @socialitelife 4m4 minutes ago .@americanidol reboot reportedly in the works at @nbc - bit.ly/2kNfBDhTbf I wouldent mind a reboot. Launched on a new network. Repackaged. Only been a year since it ended. So it's still fresh. So I think they would be smart to go ahead with the Idol alum judging panel idea. And with his recent exp on Xfactor Oz. Sources say he was pretty close last time. I don't see the reality show stigma an issue too. Wasn't on Xf oz. So should be no issue here. But it's speculation at this stage.

Awfully soon for an idol remake, imo, and on NBC to boot? I thought they would give it a few years break, at least, to let fresh ideas come to the forefront, and to let a talent pool build up for a bit that got depleted by 4 competing shows, and the talent getting younger and younger on some of them.
Tbh, I hope Adam does not choose to judge idol. He already has a double career, and needs to focus on the solo career stuff. If he gets sucked into the idol vortex again, I am not sure we will see new music from him for a long time, and public perception would all go back to the idol-kid again, rather than the successful world-wide star. So I don't think it would be a good move for him at this point in time.
Furthermore, I am not all that hopeful that the show will be a success. Talent shows are still on the decline, and I don't think there is a lot they can do to get young interest back to that TV medium. Maybe 5-10 years down the line, once TV and internet lines have blurred even more than they have now, there is room for a new show, with the then current technology and an updated selection processes. But right now, I don't believe the show has a chance to differentiate itself sufficiently to become current again.
